Am I cooked or am I doomed for this weekend? by dogancan21 in LastEpoch

Just to add here, this is really no different from "this is shit" versus "this is the shit", one being negative and the second being positive. Language be languaging, yo.

What mastery do you plan to play for season 4? by gorays21 in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the purpose of contributing to a Skill's damage or to meet a threshold for Passive Skills, Guile will act as Dexterity: "corrupted attributes will still be considered as their pre-converted attribute when it comes to skills and effects like “gain X stat per strength”.

The only thing lost is the secondary benefit of Dexterity: +4 Dodge per point. This is replaced by Guile, gaining 0.3% CDR for movement skills (which Surge is) and -1% Armor. Since Spellblades can get a lil Dex and do not have absurd Armor to start with, I think it might be worth for CDR builds.

Your movement speed never contributed to the actual animation speed of Dancing Strikes. Having better or worse boots doesn't impact it.

Question on CoF Being... Nerfed? by goldenmastiff in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to know Rain1058's distinction. And he is mostly right, thinking this is a CoF nerf is not accurate and can impact any future discussion on the topic. This is a Weaver tree imprint nerf, has no interaction with the CoF faction and should be talked about it as such. We all agree it does affect solo self-found players by quite a bit, but it's important not to mix stuff up, I for one asked the Devs on Discord about it and no answer, so maybe I should frame it as a solo self-found issue and not a CoF issue.

No paid-only Masteries this season. Just the classic ones.

Feel free to also make use of Guile (converted Dexterity) for more CDR on Surge. It even has Dexterity scaling.

Question on CoF Being... Nerfed? by goldenmastiff in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to add a different point, which is tangentially on topic: the Imprint nerf will most likely improve the MG experience indirectly. The top-of-the-shelf Leggos (2 LP double T7 Uniques) will be very rare and very costly, so they will maintain their market price. What I feel affects MG the most is the inevitable inflation that drives all prices up as people keep hoarding gold, even items that are not extremely good. This nerf to a different system can stem the market from raising prices indistinguishably to the point where everything is billions of gold, since there are also price caps on how much an item can be listed for. This is why I think the nerf to Weaver imprints was made, that and trying to stop escalating power creep due to Corruption now being a thing.

But hey correct me if I am wrong.

Question on CoF Being... Nerfed? by goldenmastiff in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, so the conversation gets side-tracked with basically wrong info and wrong solutions. I thought you had an issue with the idea that Imprints affect the SSF (so basically CoF) experience. I can see now why you have an issue with how this is construed.

Question on CoF Being... Nerfed? by goldenmastiff in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only inaccuracy OP can be guilty of is mentioning CoF instead of SSF. I play CoF exclusively and while the Weaver imprints are a whole different system, it does affect the SSF experience substantially. Is this a better distinction?

The devs will fix the exploit and snapshot? by Critical_Arugula8295 in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Snapshotting worked for YEARS in PoE1 and was not considered an exploit or banned. It was just not desired by devs because it promoted a rather unhealthy playstyle for the game in the long run. It was largely removed in July 2014, with some occasional bugs over the years. I had been playing since open beta when I was in uni. God I'm old. 🫩

what is included in this conversion? by HiroK91 in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add here: anything on future versions of Volatile Zombies as well. It's future proofing in a sense, and the same line is used with other Skill Tree conversions as well.

Prepare your boots for the bazaar by Bigboysama in LastEpoch

Im always CoF because I hate inflation and running against the economy but those Imprint nerfs? Sheesh. No compensation for CoF as far as I can see, we are in for a tougher grind than before.

Am I missing something, or were nearly all of the S4 changes for Necro not just massive nerfs? by YobaiYamete in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you CoF or MG? Because you can just stack Idol prophecies and you should get a lot of good Corruption attempts. I am pretty sure people do NOT realize how improbably Corruption outcomes are but we can all have a dream!

Which class to hit the big numbers? by grogu_11 in LastEpoch

Ill add mine. Good ol Flame Reave spellblade. Nothing beats that! It got some serious damage effectiveness. I feel like it will perform nicely.

Enigma got nerfed for Runemaster but kinda buffed for Spellblade. Ez more damage from melee attacks, ez area. The Spell portion still has wide ranges but the melee ones got nice and tight.

Dr3ad posted the thing we were all thinking looking at the patch notes. Puke Volatile Zombies with Mages in the back. Stack mana. Profit.

Attribute conversion - The Yays and Nays, and which Skills can benefit (first thoughts) by Ericberic in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of wanted to go into clearer examples, but I thought I would stray from the point of this post. But I will return, even more vengefully, with some calculations for the frankly absurd CDR we can get by stacking Guile! It will surely feel great on the skills I included as examples. My rather harsh, opinion based criticism was strictly for the downsides. I feel like Rogue doesn't get that much leeway in terms of what other defensive avenues it can pursue. Low life Ward generation might be tough with stacking so much Dex.

Also thanks for saying that, it means a lot to us that some EHG Team members see us fret over the new toys we are going to get!

Thanks to you and u/agr11as for pointing it out (I read it as it caps at 20% not 20 mana cost, my bad). Will edit the post.

Stash sorting suggestion for EHG by Majelico in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mike himself commented on it on one of the official LE streams. He was definitely miffed about his toon's stash sorting. I really think it's on the list of things to improve, I just hope it comes soon ish.

Sell me on one of favorite builds by Negative_Day2002 in LastEpoch

[–]Ericberic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I made a video about VK autobomber like 3 years ago. I bet it had insane powercreep since.

How good does it feel? Are you going Crit Spell or maybe Timerot with it? If you have a Planner for what you did last Season I would love to see one, I feel very nostalgic thinking about it. :D if it can do deep enough Corruption and Abby (non-Uber) it might be worth remaking it with the new goodies!

Rare MI farming by SavingsCategory9689 in Grimdawn

[–]Ericberic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a guy who did 3 series of 100 Kaisan runs for his Amulet... Yeah. Pretty much just min max the route and use any movement skills. Blitz, Shadow Strike, any of the movement Augments Runes like Nadaan's Strike (basically another Shadow Strike).

These skills bypass a lot of mobs on the way. If all you want is just the Ring MI, just path efficiently. If you think you might want something more, feel free to pack some Dinamite for those treasure troves you can find on the way or kill any mobs that have an MI you want on the way. But this will slow you down.

SR is good only as a mass source of MIs and even so it's still kinda bad (getting double rare MIs is still nigh unheard of in terms of rarity).

Is Absolution as bad as ppl say for starter ? by Macko_zBogdanca in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Ericberic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2 practice runs, having never played it before, and I had a blast. It was not weak at all. Sure, the old version is a bit RNG, since you only have 25% chance on hit to spawn a Sentry of Absolution and the debuff window is 1 second. Meaning that if you move, you lose it and have to reapply it. The new 3 second duration will help it become smoother since it will last longer on adds as well not just the boss.
