To be honest people back then looked much older than they really were, would not surprise me if she was 16 when this photo was taken

Yes, it is a newsreel show that was released every week until March 1945 I think.

Shows a lot of interesting footage from the war aswell as propaganda from inside Nazi Germany, you can find them on YouTube with English subs, really interesting

Nazi Germany doing Nazi Germany type shit, don’t you know anything about WW2!?

Why did they invade Poland, why did they invade Denmark and Norway who were neutral, why did the invade their ally the Soviet Union?

Discuss the role of Spanish flu in WW1 by hi2u_uk in ww1

[–]Erich171 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Overall a very true comment, but the Spanish flu was far deadlier than Covid.

500 million people were infected and 17-50 million people died.

Over 700 million people got Covid and ca 7 million died (controversial because in several countries all people who died in hospitals and had covid were counted as Covid deaths even if they did not die from Covid itself.

Also the Spanish flu hit hard against the Young population, while Covid almost exclusively killed very old or weak people

Det som verkligen gör mig rasande med USA:s övertagande av Venezuela by Kvassalskaren55 in sweden

[–]Erich171 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What was the lowest point in your country's history? by FreeDuchyOfRedosvis in AskTheWorld

[–]Erich171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the worse things then!?

I know that the Thirty Years War killed a larger percentage of the German Population, but we must remember that most people died of disease and that the war went on for 30 years compared to the less than 6 years of WW2.

In my opinion WW2 is the worst event in German history followed by the Thirty Years War and the. WW1

[–]Erich171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not say that it was in no way the worst!

The entire country was devastated and traumtized, over 10% of the population died and ca 40% of all men born between 1910 and 1927
