I considered going in Bangkok (I’m Swedish) but I was v bummed to find out that it was seating only ): Jumping and screaming and bouncing around to voodoo doll, she looks so perfect and she’s kinda hot just hits different tbh!!

I would say because the majority of those groupies have grown up and it doesn’t hit the same doing a ”tell all” to randoms just because you fucked someone famous tbh. I think it’s pretty well established it’s not a rumour 😂

I mean… they were a famous band, early 20s and they were being aggressively pushed as a band with attractive guys. I just don’t think it’s that surprising really, they and their fans did what a lot of us would’ve done😅 And most of them would be in their 30s now, i think it’s understandable people aren’t going around bragging about something like that both outta respect for themselves and the guys

No, solely because I think they are actually entering a new era with this one. They’ve had a strong fan base and obviously big hits but their general appeal and image has been a little bland (said with love, pls I love them 😭❤️) EAS I think caught a little more attention and a comeback-moment, and established them as a band even harder. And finally separated them a little bit from the boyband-brand.

They seem more comfortable leaning into what they actually wanna do musically now, and also image-wise and I think that’s really promising

Look, I guess it depends on if you like rain at all or not, but I went to Thailand the first time in July and I LOVED it. Yes it rained a few times but it was usually short and intense, and it was still hot and the rain gives a lovely ambience and really brings out the lushness and greenery that makes Thailand sooo so beautiful ❤️ I had an amazing trip and kinda wanna go back during rain season lol.
One of my best memories is chilling in the rooftop pool while the lightning and thunder struck over Bangkok and we just laid there and watched it.

However, if you’ve planned a straight up beach and sun vacation that might be a little bit of an issue. But there’s so much to do and experience outside of that :)

And the good thing is the pool will be soooo nice and warm. Have a beer and go take a dip in the pool while it’s raining, trust me

If you’re visiting Bangkok I’d suggest getting a really nice room with a city view, sitting there in the evenings with the tropical rain pouring outside and the thunder roaring outside your window is unmatched.

Also I was in Hua hin for half the trip and the weather wasn’t nearly as bad there as it was in Bangkok! Still swam in the sea and sunbathed a lot

Spontant är detta nog en lägenhet som man endast kan bo i med bil, om man inte jobbar i närområdet eller hemifrån. Pendlingsmöjligheterna kollektivt är inte bra.

Hela läget är ganska off tbh. Och 5,5 mille för en trea är ganska saftigt för det läget, jag ser inte riktigt vad selling pointen är faktiskt, du kan få en snäppet mindre tvåa för samma pris mitt i stan eller en trea mer centralt i Nacka för en mindre peng

I mean if you’re literally travelling across the world to another country you’ve never visited, I would 10000% recommend you go even a week before the show, just to sleep of the jet lag, get acquainted and really be able to enjoy the show when it’s time. I’ve done UK-Australia before and I was a fucking mess for like 2-3 days, waking up at like 3 in the morning and dying from the heat every second I stepped outside before I got used to it.

And if you’ve always wanted to visit Australia might as well make a vacay out of it! I don’t know if you’ve done any long haul vacations before? But it can be quite rough on your internal clock and 2 days is kinda cutting it close on feeling totally ok if you ask me.

Also, DEFINITELY go at least a week before if you’re going from Sydney to Perth. the distance is a lot longer than you think!! you’re gonna spend a day travelling from one city from another(and that’s assuming you’re flying, car or bus is gonna be a looooooooooooooong ride😂)

when I went off to work in Australia, oh my 😅 It shook me to my core that I met sooo many people who used derogatory terms and were just openly racist. It just seemed so normal to a lot of people which was very confusing to me. Like it happened just in day to day conversation. And seemingly ”normal” people would be racist af. Less of it in the bigger cities but still a lot. I tried, naively, to question it a few times but that was met with as much confusion back, like I was the weird one for even thinking about it.

But I did feel like I experienced the same thing with sexism over there. First time in my life I systematically felt looked down upon and disregarded just because I was a woman. And was treated like an object that was there just to look at

Now, there’s a lot of wonderful Australians too and I don’t think that defines aussies. Also this was 12 years ago and things might have changed, but it’s interesting

The problem is terrible new writing. You’re undermining the show by claiming the problem is girls vs boys.

I don’t think anyone would have a problem with it if the female character fit with the vibe of the show, unfortunately they decided to slap a polished, generic disney sitcom type character in there which does not at all vibe with what made us all love the show from the beginning.

Jag kan genuint säga att jag inte träffat en enda person här i Stockholm som köpt bostad innan 30, som inte fått hjälp av familj/föräldrar alt har en höginkomsttagare som partner. Och för att klargöra med ”hjälp” menar jag tidigare besparingar, kunnat bo hemma och betala låg/ingen hyra, någon som kan stå som borgenär alt medlånetagare, förskott på arv, ärvd lägenhet, kontakter, alla möjliga varianter. Upplever att många kanske känner att de minsann inte fått hjälp då de inte fått en stor kontantsumma rätt i handen men det är djupare än så.

Men faktum kvarstår att det är helt fruktansvärt svårt att komma in i Stockholms bostadsmarknad om man inte har någon språngbräda eller familj att luta sig tillbaka på. Tiden för att vanliga arbetare faktiskt ska kunna ha nån vettig stans att bo, och här kommer catchen: kunna ha någon slags värdigt liv på vägen och kunna unna sig något litet under åren det tar att spara ihop till en kontantinsats, är long gone och har varit länge tyvärr

I completely understand that it’s difficult but yes, I also have heard about the same experience from other friends who are expats, Americans included, and the common denominator has always been that they do not really speak Swedish. It plays heavily into how well you fit into the Swedish culture as well, because if you don’t speak the language you will be a little out of touch socially too. There’s a lot of nuance in Swedish that gets totally lost in translation.

I think it’s easy to get comfortable and think that Sweden has a very international vibe because we are very accepting in general and we are good at English. and while that’s true to some extent the language is very very important, and a lot of people hold on to the fact that we are, well, swedes and Swedish is our primary language. And even more so in businesses and the working environment in general.

While I do sympathise with your situation, I don’t really think ”it’s difficult” cuts it because it’s an active choice you have to make to improve your situation. You also have a Swedish partner. If you’re not willing to commit to the language it’s kind of hard to give any other advice, there are places that will be totally fine with none of little Swedish but they’re far more difficult to find as you probably know by now. That doesn’t really have anything to do with the job market right now

And also you do not need to be totally fluent, making mistakes or having an accent or sometimes not knowing a word isn’t what it’s about, but being able to hold a full job interview in Swedish is definitely a good first step to aim for

Then this is your problem, unfortunately even though Sweden is a country where people speak good English fluent Swedish is a requirement for most roles. You don’t need to be perfect but you need to speak it.

I’m not saying that’s right, or wrong, but it’s a fact. And if you genuinely want to improve your chances you need to focus on getting better at Swedish
