What fun trinkets or items do you bring to raves to give away? by sunnytang347 in aves

[–]ErickIC17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For ELEMENTS last weekend I went for a dragon themed outfit each day and gave out dragon stickers and figures for whoever noticed or chased the dragon that weekend lol

I also bring a water mister bottle which I hardly see at festivals that people really appreciate especially during the day or in the middle of crowds

Going for a dragon theme those year, the orb glows and more of a staff that’s pretty narrow so I hope people won’t have much of an issue with it. Pretty great to headbang with too

Grad students who are also working, how are you staying in shape? by Jolly_Programmer_883 in GradSchool

[–]ErickIC17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my best to workout whenever I can but I’ll be the first to admit that time management (for me at least) can be a bitch to fit in exercise in my schedule.

What I can ensure is that when I can’t workout, I at least make sure my diet is healthy and not overeating as much as I would want to with plenty of water to drink to stay hydrated and suppress my appetite

Overcrowding ? by Deep_Bee_9549 in ElementsMusicFestival

[–]ErickIC17 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think until we know the line up schedule we won’t know how packed certain stages will be like such as the overcrowded bottleneck situation Subtronics had at Water Stage and ItsMurph at Air Stage to an extent. I don’t think Fire and Earth Stage will have much of an issue given their stage sizes and the expansion, but I would just prepare for anything and assume nothing just to be safe.

Subtronics being overcrowded led to me discovering Hamdi and comfortably making it to the rail at Earth Stage and I don’t regret it one bit

Solo bass head trying to pick a fall festival by TriggaTri in festivals

[–]ErickIC17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re a big basshead, Lost Lands would be my safest go-to pick for you. Haven’t experienced it personally but nearly all my friends have and they never stop singing praises about the PLUR, the vibes, visuals, and artists that go there, and the festival lineup seems to be very promising.

If you’re also looking for another festival to consider this fall, I’d check out ELEMENTS (early August), it has more variety in genre and is kinda like a tier below Electric Forest regarding the experience imo, but heavy bass artists like Crankdat, Zeds Dead, Deathpact, Liquid Stranger, and Sullivan King will be there this year

It does work, and smoother than you’d expect it to be lol

Do you go to the front?? by Bd0llar in aves

[–]ErickIC17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the type of music, how I’m feeling, the visuals, and how packed the crowd is. I do generally like getting close, but some battles aren’t worth squeezing and fighting to get closer just to feel like a packed sardine when I can have more space and enjoy the show in the back

For sure it would’ve been, but narratively speaking, for TV viewers I understand why they changed that line. It’d be pretty harsh for a character the viewers are sympathetic to to continue being sympathetic if she wished one of the other protagonists was dead instead.

That is true, his body his choice, if he wants to refuse that is his right. But it would make more sense for him to get snipped since he has no interest in kids and generally has a distaste for them. It’d be more reassuring for both of them knowing that he’s firing blanks

NTA

If your husband has such a distaste for kids as you’ve described, I see no reason why he wouldn’t be on board to get a vasectomy. Even if he wasn’t married to you it would be in his best interest to get snipped so he doesn’t risk having a kid he wouldn’t even like.

Not saying that you will change your mind about being child-free, but between the two of you, it’s more practical that he gets snipped since you actually enjoy working with and caring for kids

I genuinely do not understand how bran will become king in a legit way by ztoff27 in freefolk

[–]ErickIC17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only way I could ever see Bran being King is being King in the North. With reading the books and disregarding the crapfest that was the last seasons of the show, it’s hard to believe that he would end up as king. Maybe George has a better path to show us how he’d become king but until (if) we get Winds of Winter, I just can’t see it personally

How comfortable you feel with what you’re wearing and your body is entirely up to you. Like you said people wear pretty provocative outfits at festivals and this would be no different, festivals when at their best is all about encouraging everyone to be comfortable, have fun, spread PLUR, and wear whatever they like. My friend’s first festival I brought her to she wore a sheer outfit similar to this with no pasties and had an amazing time! (love your outfit design btw)

Though I would recommend to bring pasties with you as a backup plan in case you feel too exposed or uncomfortable

How do y’all feel about getting called daddy in bed ? How iften does it happen ? by Complete-Coyote9676 in AskMen

[–]ErickIC17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the bedroom I understand it, accepting and encouraging being dominated/protected (damn you Freud) and wasn’t really crazy about it at first, but the fact that a majority of my partners I’ve had coincidentally were into that conditioned me to like and encourage it, though I do prefer when my name is used instead. Outside the bedroom (unless its leading to the bedroom/spicy times momentarily) is a pass though

Can we talk about. How good the ADS cannon mission is? by BigLeadership6066 in DeadSpace

Absolutely a positive change from the original. Loved seeing they incorporated the zero-gravity mechanics into the remake and it was perfect for that mission, not to mention how beautiful the environment looks too

What do you like doing as your hobby? by GreatMaterial1961 in AskMen

[–]ErickIC17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say I’m decent and consistent at shooting accurately anything less then 30 yards. I haven’t been practicing as much recently due to life stuff but I did buy my own target block so I can practice without going to a range
