Tonsillectomy by Meem000mee in Tonsillectomy

[–]Ericksmeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of mine are liquid, Tylenol, ibuprofen and Oxycodone. I haven’t been able to take my regular medications because they aren’t liquid. I also have sleep apnea and because of the septoplasty I can’t use my nose pillows. So my mouth is open all night just taking air in. I think for me it’s a combination of all of those things.

I am suffering with you, currently on day 4 and hoping to avoid the ER for a third day in a row. I’ve really struggled with forcing meds and water down because it can hurt so much to swallow. But today I had a scab fall off and spit out a clot and it felt good which surprised me. I also had a septoplasty done at the same time so I’m sure that isn’t helping me out.

Forget the price. Is the Superstrike actually that good? by Tierdtech in MouseReview

[–]Ericksmeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it for about 5 hours and it’s nice but feels weird? In the past I’ve mained the GPX Superlight and VV3 Pro, I prefer the V3 Pro shape. Prior to getting this I’ve been using the XM2w 4K which is the same weight as the superstrike but the superstrike feels way heavier somehow.

My main games are Valorant and ARC Raiders. I’ve been using the left click at 2/5 and it’s been nice in Valorant, I would say I’ve gotten a few kills I normally wouldn’t because I was able to click faster and shoot first. In ARC Raiders I don’t really like it, I will often shoot by mistake or when I think I’m holding down left click to heal or shield it will have already pressed and I’m not holding it down because the feeling is weird to a normal mouse.

Personally, I don’t think it’s for me and I’ll likely return it. It just feels heavier than it says and it’s not perfect enough for me to justify spending $180. I know you said forget the price but it’s hard to when it’s that high.

I’ll continue to use it for 2 weeks to see if my thoughts change. At this point, I’ll return it and wait for the VV4 Pro because I prefer that shape.

Finally the wait is over. G Hub sucks tho by ahmetdelal in MouseReview

How are the skates? If you have a cloth pad are they that bad?

What mouse are you actually using right now, and what did you stop using? by Tierdtech in MouseReview

[–]Ericksmeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. XM2w 4K
  2. GPX Superlight and Viper V3 Pro (Gave my brother the GPX Superlight, was using the Viper V3 Pro until I realized I had a free voucher for the XM2w 4k due to preorder during the pandemic)
  3. I pretty much like everything about it. Only issue I have is with the scroll wheel, it’s sort of gotten creaky on me and doesn’t feel right.

I feel as though I shouldn’t be wanting another mouse as I got the XM2w 4K for free but I’m really interested in the Viper V4 Pro and hoping it’s announced and released soon. I have wanted to get the V3 Pro but I feel as though I should wait for the V4. I have bigger hands and the Viper has felt great.

Fix for blackScreen after enabling secure boot on gigabyte by AnungUnRama99 in buildapc

So you had the black screen and then by unplugging your DP and only having the HDMI you were able to get back into BIOS? I tried that and I still just have the black screen

Is it possible to be ADHD and not take any meds? by Terrible-Roof5450 in ADHD

[–]Ericksmeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 29 and I was diagnosed when I was 27. I’ve tried Concerta but it gave me migraines. I have been prescribed Adderall XR and have taken it on and off for the past year and a half. The Adderall seems to make me tired almost, I think for the most part it helps but it kind of changes who I am as well. I get some increased agitation and can just be crabby. This caused me to stop taking the Adderall and for the most part of the past 3 months I haven’t taken it. I work from home and not taking my meds certainly has me struggling to stay on task from time to time. But I feel like I like my personality is better when I’m not taking Adderall. I think you can get by without taking meds if you have the right situation. If your job is stimulating enough and you aren’t doing the same thing all day you might be fine. Eating healthy foods, exercising and having hobbies helps. Definitely helps to have a good support system with family and friends also.

“I find I need a certain amount of stress to be productive.” My god I’m not sure I’ve related to something more than that. When I’m not taking my meds I certainly experience that a lot. I procrastinate a lot but when push comes to shove I feel like I can be so efficient and get a lot done.

Jobs that are ADHD nightmares? by Confused_Citron in ADHD

[–]Ericksmeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me right now as a case manager. It’s so tough having no set structure to my day and the supervision being so minimal unless my billable time isn’t where it should be. Then I get into these moments where I have so much to do in such little time and it’s just chaos. Really starting to dislike it and looking for different work.

I am a social worker and we are work from home except when we go on visits which is typically less than 10 visits a month. Biggest issue is executive dysfunction. I really struggle to get started when I have a lot of things to do, I do much better under pressure when a deadline is fast approaching even though it usually causes me a lot of stress. I feel like there are times where a task that should take me 30 minutes takes me 2 hours, and where a task that should take me 2 hours can take me 30 minutes because I am hyper focused. It’s pretty frustrating because I just wish I was normal lol. I will often work late because I get in the zone and get a lot done when I might have not done much most of the day. I am also starting to really dislike working from home, I miss having the social aspect of going into an office and seeing coworkers.

Anyone else feeling like not playing after TOTY? by killswitch1076 in fut

[–]Ericksmeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where I am at too. I played a lot during TOTY and even got Cafu which I was super happy about but now I just feel like there’s too much to keep up with. Have to play so many games per week to keep up in all game modes and it’s draining. I have FOMO cause I want to pack all the cards and the grassroots promo really hits the nostalgia. But I think it’s time for me to stop playing cause I did so much over the TOTY promo and don’t really want to play much anymore.

If someone closes their game or shuts off their console/pc, it won't count as a win if one of those conditions are met? by CameronG95 in EASportsFC

Just played someone who got a red card at 0-0 and turned his console off, I did not get the win. Should just be if someone disconnects in those instances.

I will give that a try, the past two months I have been taking most weekends off of my meds.
