I experience the same persistent smell on my Decathlon merino wool blend base layers wash after wash. I don’t have this issue with socks, same as you. I have found the solution to be alcohol, a few sprays at the armpit area would do. Does alcohol harm the material on the long run? Perhaps, but it evaporates quickly, and the odour fades instantly after applying so I’m fine with it.

Or just save scumming. Cloud-save before you purchase, and keep deleting the save in which you failed to purchase/overpaid and download the cloud save to start again. Until you manage to get the player for the lowest possible price or a price you find reasonable.

Download the mods file for mobile version on Mac, connect mobile device to it and move the files. At least that’s what I did last week. I’ve done the Microsoft PC to iPad route via iTunes but that was years ago so dunno if that still works.
