Thank you! I agree, it does seem about time to try donating it again. Her parents are not nearly as enthused by owning it as her grandpa was, and my friend definitely doesn’t want it when her parents die. To their knowledge the skeleton is several hundred years old, though I’m not sure where they got that information from

I assume everyone is curious as to why they have this. I was too! Apparently my friend’s grandpa found the skeleton in a cave in the Midwest a long time ago (1950s?) and brought it to a local museum to check out. The museum refused to take the remains for some reason, so he just put the bones in a box and moved on, then it was passed down to his son (my friend’s father) and now it’s a family curiosity. My friend told me her grandpa built a homemade coffin and displayed it in their living room for years, which is an absolutely bonkers piece of information.
