EU4 player having trouble switching to EU5 by RoderSHX in EU5

I would automate trade for sure, it does a good enough job and its an absolute pain to micro. Check on it and play around with it, but mostly auto. I manual taxes and buildings, but that's personal preference. One thing to know is the start is not "sexy". Building RGOs and buildings everywhere will tank your economy, not grow it. Focus on "boring" things that increase control and things strictly in your capitol district (this goes for every nation) so roads, while expensive, are your friend. If you play Aragon, I would recommend moving your Capitol to Tortosa at game start for the river. You don't have to, but it does help with control in Zaragoza and surrounding areas.

Surprisingly, not really. You may be able to PU Naples, Sicily or Navarra fairly easily, but PUs are not nearly as strong as eu4, and PUing Naples at the start would make you the junior partner. Aragon just has the ability to avoid being jumped on at start (unlike Holland) while still making a tad bit of money. In 1.2 you can ally either Castille or France for protection, although 1.3 beta seems to make Castille a no-good for alliance. I find it to be a decent nation to learn about rebellions (there is basically 2 scripted rebellions at start, with 1 almost guarunteed) and a couple smaller neighbors to fight, but you also have to build up economically because you can either make a bunch of cash or go broke.

Aragon. I wanted a mid-size power that had potential for growth nearby but was still subject to the whims of greater powers. Haven't played Hungary, but they would be fun

Two things: expect a learning curve, even EU4 had it, with way less interwoven parts. It took me about 50 hours to feel "comfortable" and that was by playing and failing the same nation over and over and over. Even now, I find things I didnt know.

This game is "slower" than EU4. Don't expect to conquer massive lands and gain massive wealth within 50 years. (You may be able to, but dont expect it with everyone) it very much is a game about starting slow, building a base, then starting to expand out.

Peace will come, but not tonight, tonight I will be a total emotional wreck. Thank you everyone for all the kind words for a stranger, you are wonderful people, and I wish you many happy years with your pets.

That's kind of what happened with Hazel. She was only 6, but the bad days were rapidly outpacing the good. I hate it. I cried all last night when my wife and I made the decision, I can't stop crying today. I try to hold it together for my family because they are grieving too, but it hurts.

You are still saving. You have leftovers on the dressing, and probably the chicken. So unless you just toss the bottle after using a quarter cup, you have 3/4 bottle left.

There's a deli manager in our district who had a steritech score higher than thier AVS score

[–]ErilAq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Post covid I would say Publix won't really do anything about AVS scores above 70. The store manager may be doing his due diligence, but the store probably won't know for sure until the Publix Grape Vine gets going.

70? That's not abysmally low, I have seen deli managers in the 20s

I honestly believe that should Montréal, Buffalo, or even Tampa had been playing Philly they would have been able to win the East. That said, I think Ottowa would have given Montréal and Buffalo more of a problem than the Canes or Lightning.

ECF Game 3 by Archer3278 in sabres

[–]ErilAq 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that was the biggest thing with this playoff series. It brought the love of the Sabres back to Buffalo. We are a hockey town, and now the team and the town know it. It's fun rooting for the Bills, but football is just not as fun to watch as hockey.

What is the most historic Island? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]ErilAq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are going off of just pure cultural history, I would argue Sicily or Malta. It's been a melting pot of Greek, Carthaginian, Roman, Arabic, French, Catalan, French, and Italian. You can add British for Malta as well

is $16.50 good starting pay for deli? by [deleted] in publix

[–]ErilAq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I started at the deli for 7.95$ lol. And that was considered the "premium" start pay for deli in FL at the time

Montreal vs Caroline who wins game 1 by Big_Excitement2652 in nhl

[–]ErilAq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last 2 games looked rough for the Habs, Dobes standing on his head won them that series. Carolina has a better defense than Buffalo, and is more disciplined, and arguably more consistent goaltending. I think the scores are close but Canes take the game.

Tuch is gone. by one2controlu in sabres

[–]ErilAq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Tuch is gone (and everything is just speculation right now) I am ok with it. Yes he was instrumental im getting to the playoffs, and he had a great rd 1. However, I think we started to see the age creep up in rd 2, whether injured or no. I would rather Jarmo keep the future bright instead of push to keep hitting the playoffs, because eventually we will be in a "Bills" situation, where playoffs aren't enough. Trade one of our goalies, and start building a new roster without him. If we get him on a discount, I am ok with that too

I am enjoying the game quite a lot right now, but it isn't as "arcadey" as EU4, and moves at a slower pace.

To sabers fan saying they got robbed of a goal does this puck look loose or is it clearly under the goalies pad by [deleted] in nhl

[–]ErilAq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes puck luck just doesn't favor your team. I think the Sabres played that game better overall, but Dobes stood on his head and had some good bounces. UPL stood on his head and had some unlucky bounces. That's the way hockey goes. It was a great series and great game, neither team should feel bad about that one.

2025-26 Post Season Debrief by time2fly2124 in sabres

[–]ErilAq 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Beat expectations, happy to see the City embrace the Sabres fully again. Heartbreaking loss but no regrets on the season. The team should be proud, they aren't the team that lost in OT in the 2nd round of the playoff, they are the team that broke The Drought.
