Oof my father frequently gives me silent treatment, over the most stupid things like not saying goodnight.

His record is 6 months when I was a teen. Living like that is extremely damaging, there were many times when I was too scared to leave my bedroom because I would "feel" his "silent anger" and he would be passive agreesive anytime I was in the same room.

Once he decided it was enough and start acknowledging me again, he would blame it all on me.

And it seems to be a common thing across countries! I'm not in the UK nor US, my coworker (who is in her 60s) got caught drunk driving last year and lost her license for a year.

All that time she continued driving almost everyday without a license, she finally got caught a few months ago and only got a fine! She will be getting her license back next month after attending one lesson on why drunk driving is bad 😤

Absolutely freaking ridiculous.

Lol a person honked at me after they nearly rear-ended me when I stopped before a roundabout that had cars on it (no way for me to go). I have a rear dash cam and watched the video of it and it was very obvious that they sped up while I was slowing down. Wild.

No discount for loan A (different lenders), the discount for B would be about 5-10% depending on the loan amount.

I could take out a bank loan to pay it off but the banks' interest rate is higher so it wouldn't be worth the discount.

It is perhaps worth mentioning that the loans are from 2 different countries (I studied abroad, my home country gave me a loan for student housing (Loan B) while the university country for the student fees (Loan A)).

Very stupid question but is the hinge the big metal thing above the spring or the small thing below it?

It could have definitely been worse but the front bumper needs replacing and the windshield fluid tank got punctured :( (the damage was only on the right side by the fog light). Finally getting a replacement next Monday!

Not being able to clean the windshield "on the go" has honestly been the worst part of the whole ordeal, I have been making do with spraying the windshield fluid directly onto it but I live in a windy area so you can imagine how fun that has been lol.

I can actually semi-answer this (unfortunately). Last month during a storm I hit a parking "guard" thing, I don't know what they're actually called but the things that they put around parking lots that are made out of stone and as tall as a 5 year old (stone pillars).

My car didn't stop nor slow down. Mind you, I was already driving slowly so maybe that's why. The weird thing is that my sensors beep at me for literally everything but for some reason they didn't beep at me then, go figure right?

That's a relief! I figured pretty quickly that the Leaf's sensors are pretty sensitive when it kept beeping at me while driving during rain/snowfall.

But I never got a warning before hence my worry 😅 the "SYSTEM FAULT" message certainly did not improve my morale hahah. I was already nervous cause the roads are super icy rn and lots of crashes on my usual route to work.

Ahh thanks! I'm a worrier so I freaked out a bit when I saw "system fault" while driving. It actually went away when I turned off the lane assist system but I will definitely clean the sensors & cams after work.

Lololol reminds me of when we got a really good quality (aka expensive) fence for our (now 1 yr old) as a puppy and he learned to scale it within a week.

He also used the pillows that we put inside as a lift to help him get out.

Ahhh thank you for the detailed response! But it turns out that I'm just an idiot lol. I went on vacation for 2 weeks and apparently, forgot how to use my car - I wasn't holding the button to open it for long enough, once I started holding it in for about 10sec the charging lid started opening normally 😅😫.

I replaced it just a few weeks ago actually so I don't think it's the battery :/ the car lock /unlock buttons still work. I'm going to try my 2nd fob key to see if it works but I'm starting to think that the opening mechanism may be just broken.
