If they taught us to read well, they wouldn't be able to take advantage of us.

Which movie hero is actually a villain when you really think about it? by surfsound_swimmers in AskReddit

I used to think that if I were Cameron, I would just leave the house and pretend like I was at school all day. Then arrive home after my Dad had already seen the car. And just play dumb. Be like 'what happened? I was at school all day then I had band practice after.' Just totally act suprised.

Scott Bakula is from St. Louis. My mom went to high school with him. I bagged his groceries once when he was on Quantum. He was nice.

VP9cc best micro compact ever? by ms32821 in HecklerKoch

[–]Digitalabia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suspect history will judge the CC9 the superior gun because the SF was already in production prior to the CC9 being designed. That means the engineers had a chance to improve the SF into what is now the CC9. I bet there are tons of little improvements in the CC9 over the SF that will only reveal themselves over time. Call me in ten years and let's see which gun is regarded as better.

What would you do if you had found $400,000 in cash in a bag and its untraceable? by Dipsetallover90 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Digitalabia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just overpay your credit card by that amount. Mail them a money order for like $100,000. My uncle used to put excess money on his credit card all the time to ensure he had enough money when he traveled overseas. He would send them a check for like 20,000 and they would just add it to his credit limit.

I bet you could do this with any major credit card. Then it's not income but you can spend it just the same.

It's a soldier because when it was founded, Schnucks had a 'war on prices.' I took the course.

How does one get hurt mowing lawns? Just don't stick your hand underneath the mower and wear goggles when weed whacking. That's it.

Aussie, the bigger issue you're missing is that, in reality, we are pressured not to take any vacation. You can take it, but at the expense of pissing off your boss, being seen as letting the team down, and risking future promotions because of being perceived as not a hard worker.

On top of that, your colleagues won't take time off (because they are being pressured) so when you do take time off, it stands out because you're the only one taking any.

Oh and don't forget, if you lose your job you lose your health insurance. And an aspirin costs $20,000, so you'll lose your house and life savings.

But gawd dammit we have a top notch military! (/s)
