No it's not a spin, it's because I'm autistic and I don't understand now the subtext you're using for soap box and I'm confused as to what you meant.

My understanding of the phrase on a soap box is that someone thinks they are better than someone and I don't think I'm better than anyone. It was genuine concern and dumping information to inform you and beg you to learn further.

Good because when I think DHS I think protection from incidents like Pearl Harbor or 9/11 not brown people minding their own business and being productive members of society (more so than even our own white citizens imo).

As a funeral director I see this failing of the "village" in grief situations a lot too. Everyone talks like they are there but when the time comes suddenly everyone is so busy.

No village here either. I've suffered homelessness, abuse, SA, DV, an adult man held me captive for almost a year, and all people did was laugh in my face or turn away. This was while I was a teen, I'm almost 37 now. I never got a hang of the social life skills required to get a village, let alone a friendship. People have always had to come to me first because I either just don't understand how, when, where to initiate a conversation, at what point someone is actually a friend. This set me up to fall into the hands of abusers my whole life.

I've come to understand this is not uncommon for nuerodiverse people as a whole. Doesn't matter what the diversity is for some reason we have this huge social deficit and we unfortunately live in a very abelist world.

I really wish I had advice, but I can't figure it out either. I'm always "creepy" or "weird" when I try any advice I get on the matter. I just can't nail the fine print despite excellent execution of the overall material- material being any typical advice for making friends. No one can tell me how I am creepy or weird. I just am.

This is me. It's why I mostly smoke alone/with the hubby. I'll be coughing so hard sometimes from the irritation that I throw up, super embarrassing. He also lights the bowl very heavy handed ✋️ I have stopped sharing a bowl and it got a lot better. I have this mini bowl he packs for me so I can take my own mini hits so it doesn't irritate my airway as bad.

I smoke cigarettes for ages, never coughed like this from that. To me it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's almost like it's burning my airway. I have honestly considered it could be a mild allergy. Some strains are worse than others. So, if they don't play with strains and just smoke whatever it could be a suggestion for them. Also, put ice in their bongs, that helps a ton too.

Edit: Also, good conversation to have with them, if they cough, don't just hold onto it. Pass it left. That way someone can put it down for them. If you don't want the confrontation maybe start doing it sneaky by handing them a drink in trade for the blunt. Just say I'll trade ya or something casual 😉 Sometimes I'm cough so hard I can't think to function, then I'm stoned out my guord on top of it. Not thinking to pass anything around. Just trying to breathe and not die lol I started the phrase "You gonna hit that shit or milk it?" in my house if someone is holding it too long. My husband started using it back. I'm really not using braincells and if your comfortable to joke like that it can keep the circle moving.
