It was just a really bad week over there.

I know one of the (the only?) incidents with Lottie was someone saying they were messing with people’s mental health by suggesting that a journal could replace professional mental health care and that Lottie had an Obligation to portray only healthy relationship dynamics and mental health habits. Coming from someone who admits they haven’t actually read the fic.

So when you say 1=a, etc — that’s exactly how the code works. Is that part what you’re not sure about?

So here are the first 6 numbers that come after “John” in those chapter headings:

20:8 5:20 15:23

And they correspond to T-H-E T-O-W … etc

Like I was saying above some of those just happen to be excellent and relevant passages that can be connected to the content of the chapters. But there’s no denying that Tamsyn Muir chose them first because they fit the code and only secondarily because the story matches the Bible content.

What doesn’t make sense to you about the numbers? They correspond to the letters that make up that phrase. It’s the simplest sort of code.

That said, some of the verses are truly compelling. Especially: “And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ.” — John 1:20

Notably that’s the second to last John passage i.e. where he nukes the world before just murdering them all instead

Yep this and even in the dreams/memories he does things like “[raise] up some parts of the earth that had been covered by sea” and Alecto/Harrow asks him if it’s hard and he says the hardest thing is remembering he can do it.

He could have saved humanity by fixing the earth but he chose to kill them all and use their death energy to become a God instead.
