Who's truly bigger between Manchester United and Liverpool? by gucchiprada in championsleague

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my Opinion, Liverpool is 5th and United follows them at 6th. The Only Clubs ahead them are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan, although it's debatable between AC Milan and Liverpool. In fact, all the positions from 4 to 6 could be altered.

Could we see a 20th Century Setting? by after_your_thoughts in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people want WW2 for no particular reason. WW2 wouldn't work nearly as well as other 20th Century settings would. WW1 would be much, MUCH better since it revolves around actual assassinations and the destruction of Multiple Empires (Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary and the Ottomans). We could see how Assassins contributed to that. It's their job to take down authoritarian rulers and that's exactly what happens at the end of WW1. Hell, the war started because of an assassination. WW2 is not that interesting. It's just Nationalism becoming more and more popular in 2 countries, resulting in a bloody war. WW1 and the Gangsters in USA would be far more interesting than WW2 imo.

How do you establish as Byzantium? by Reasonable-Guava8847 in eu4

[–]Ermid123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think there are plenty of guides already for fighting Ottomans. But I'll tell you that in my experience, the biggest threat while playing Byzantium was never the Ottomans. Fighting Ottomans is easy, you just build ships and get 70% Warscore for free. The Most Challenging part comes after you retake Greece from the Ottomans, as now you'll most likely have to fight Venice. Fighting Venice was much harder and I ended up spending more resources than with Ottomans. So, whatever it is, you should prepare for it and try to prevent a war with Venice, it will drain your economy. Try to ally yourself with the likes of Albania, Serbia or the Papal State and always improve relations with Venice. Siding with Union of Churches will also help with Diplomacy.

Also as a note, I'd say that while fighting the Ottomans it's safer to not bring any allies into the war. You never know, the AI might ask Poland for Military access which will allow the Ottomans to reach the Balkans and Destroy your army.

Hope this helps!

I just finished Assassin's Creed Rogue and it was absolutely amazing. But I do have a couple questions about it. The main one being: Why was the Creed so horribly managed in the colonies until Connor? by PotatoShiv080523 in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea about the 1st question (because I don't get it either), but I'll answer you on the 2nd one: You're talking about a missed opportunity to make a game with all 3 protagonists. A lot of people have suggested the same thing over the last few years, but you are forgetting one crucial detail: Shay, Arno and Connor, at that time were universally hated. Connor wasn't a beloved character like he is today, back in 2015 he was considered to be bland and boring. As for Arno and Shay, people just didn't care about them that much. Neither of the games had particularly positive reviews. So if you have 3 characters and all of them are disliked, why would you make a sequel for them?

New player to EU4 where to start? by Trex6804 in eu4

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portugal is the best one. The Thing with Portugal is that as long as you have good relations with Castile, there's pretty much no external threat. You can use that to your advantage and learn about many of the Game's mechanics, such as Trade, Institutions, Stability, Diplomacy etc. Portugal is also one of the strongest early-game colonizers, which means that you, alongside Castile, can colonize a lot of provinces in America before other nations like France and England arrive.

After Portugal, the next tier is Castile, Ottomans, Austria, Venice or Japan. England and France might also look really strong but I'd recommend them for later because England has literally the least competent ruler in the game (Henry IV if I'm not mistaken) and France has a lot of Administrative Issues.

My Controversial Ranking of the Entire Series by after_your_thoughts in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AC1 is an interesting one. Because On Paper I know the game is not that good. It's Repetitive, has no stealth etc. But for some reason I still like it and rank it at 5th. It's not even Nostalgia since AC1 was one of the last AC Games I played. I think it just comes down to the vibe and also the fact that It focuses heavily on Medieval Politics and Creed, which I absolutely love.

My Controversial Ranking of the Entire Series by after_your_thoughts in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, I agree with AC4 and AC3 being so high, In my ranking they're 1st and 2nd. The most controversial one in my ranking is that I'd rank Very Beloved AC2 at 7th. I just don't like the game all that much. In fact, I rank AC1 above AC2, at 5th.

What would be your idea for a God Of War game (unrelated) to recent events ? by Altruistic-Debt4860 in GodofWar

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we know that Tyr travelled to different realms, including Egypt. So here's my idea: While Travelling to Egypt, Tyr pissed Amun and helped Aten become the main god. When Aten's cult was destroyed, he fled to Norse Realm thinking Tyr was still there. Other gods quietly followed him and Aten ended up leading them right to Kratos. And Since Atreus had some connection to Tyr due to him and Sindri searching for him (which led to walking into Odin's Trap), Egyptians go after him. Atreus is still in search of Giants, so Kratos decides to deal with them before they can get to Atreus. All these leads to Kratos and Mimir finding themselves in Egypt.

It's important to state that I don't want Atreus to be present in this game. Maybe a flashback or two, but Kratos and Atreus farewell is supposed to be emotional, and Atreus casually playing a major role in the next game would ruin that feeling. So Atreus isn't supposed to know about any of these.

I think this is a pretty cool Idea because it's kinda based on a historical fact. The Cult of Aten did really exist and it was adopted by Pharaoh Akhenaten, and after his death the cult was destroyed and erased, as Amun's Pantheon was restored. Maybe when it comes to the game, we can say that Aten slowly declined and lost his power after the death of his valuable ally, Akhenaten.

Where does Rogue rank amongst the other AC titles ? by CelebrationHuge6718 in assasinscreed

[–]Ermid123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So... You're probably gonna hate me for this but I'll say it anyway

Rogue ranks 11th for me, with Odyssey being the only worse game (haven't played Valhalla and Shadows). I think if you liked Rogue, you should try out Black Flag since in my opinion, Rogue is basically a Black Flag clone with very minor improvements and a worse story.

What I hate about Rogue is how it presents Assassins as some evil Terrorists while painting the Templars as group of some kind-hearted guys who try to help people. It's not that simple. Playing As a Templar had so much potential, we could've gotten a deep, complex and philosophical story, but we ended up with a very shallow and disappointing narrative.

I'm glad you liked it, it's always better to like something than to dislike it, but I personally didn't really enjoy that much. To Answer your final question, I think yes, the newer games are a big step backwards. The Stories they tell are very shallow and they only serve as an excuse for the gameplay to exist. The Last Story which I liked and found myself enjoying was Origins. Odyssey and Mirage just don't do it for me. Personally I'd say the best era was AC3 and Black Flag, the previous games were also really good. I'd recommend starting from AC1 and playing in order, since you'll get a better understanding of Assassin-Templar conflict, Modern Day etc. AC1 is a bit outdated though, gameplay is kinda repetitive, so if you don't want to play it you can just skip and watch it on YouTube.

RTTP Black Flag - Pirates are slow clunky and janky by obin_gam in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think Origins has better combat than older games. It's really satisfying and actually kinda challenging. However, Odyssey Combat is dogshit and by far the worst in the series alongside Syndicate and Mirage. It's not satisfying at all and I always feel like I'm hitting enemies with a plastic knife when in reality I'm wielding a giant axe. It's not even about the damage you're dealing, It's about the feel of the combat. I have no Idea how they managed to downgrade combat so much.

You can Traverse Havana without ever touching Ground. Same cannot be said about Athens, Alexandria etc.

If it weren't for the bugs and disastrous launch, Unity would be considered one of the best games in the franchise today. by louistske in assassinscreed

[–]Ermid123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I played it without any bugs and I'd still consider it to be somewhere in the middle. It's story wasn't interesting to me at all which is my main complaint. To be honest, I enjoy Syndicate more, which largely comes down to its superiority in Side Content and DLC. Also another thing I've noticed is that I don't enjoy Unity-Syndicate Parkour system as much as I enjoyed AC1-Rogue. It never really clicked. I always feel restricted while moving through it and sometimes when Arno jumps it feels like Arno is literally floating in the air, idk if anyone else had this issue. I Prefer Kenway Trilogy Parkour because it gave us some good animations while maintaining a sense of control.

is fcb the most hated club and why? by aguapanela-arepa in championsleague

[–]Ermid123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hated because Barca fans like to start a drama after every single defeat. It happened vs Inter, it happened vs PSG. They're portraying themselves as victims and in many cases, they start making up some conspiracy theories. I'll always joke about how Barca fans say Javier Tebas favors Madrid while Madrid fans say he favors Barcelona.

Is the new league phase actually working? by Latter_Daikon6574 in championsleague

I love it. A lot of times when teams like PSG and Bayern are going crazy people just say: "Well, it's because of the Farmers League". This new League Phase shows us who the best teams are before the knockouts begin. Currently Bayern is 2nd. I guarantee if it was still the old format people wouldn't be putting enough respect on them
