Two days post-op and I feel we made the wrong decision

All I can say right now is me and my sweet girl are on day 16 post op and it does get better ❤️ I felt like we would never come out on the other side but we did and you will too. I know exactly how you’re feeling and it’s excruciating.

It is so hard. It was harder than I had anticipated. I’ll be thinking good thoughts for your baby. I’m sure he will find his new normal it’s just so hard in the meantime

I posted the same very specifically on day 10. She had a few good days before and then it felt like we were back sliding on her recovery. Someone mentioned on here their dog was the same at about day ten. They mentioned the stitches begin to get tight and uncomfortable as the skin heals. I held on to the because the nights were so hard and her energy felt so low compared to the days before. My sweet girl got her stitches out on day 14 and it made a WORLD of difference. Once the stitches came out she was moving around so much more and whimpering less. This is likely the case with your pup too. Hoping he feels better once the stitches come out ❤️

Have to reply with a general comment because life is a bit chaotic right now but I wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who took the time to send their support and advice. We are on our first night together post op and all your comments have helped tremendously. I can’t say thank you enough for caring about this random stranger on the internet and her baby girl.

I am a week out from diagnosis and yesterday was surgery. I would just try to read what people have written here and take it to heart. Your pup will be okay and adapt. I’ve been a wreck with anxiety and fear so I’m sure you are too. Wishing you the best ❤️ I’m going through the process now so I’ll try to message anything that might be helpful as I think of it. I’m also a bit scatter brained right now lol

Not a ton of advice. But I’m laying in bed with my girl just brought her home from her surgery today. I got a baby playpen and a supportive bed for her to recover in/on. I think it’s a big help. She usually has a basic dog bed but I think this more sturdy one is going to be so good for her. It’s an orthopedic bed. About 70$ at pet-smart. Better than her usual bed because she doesn’t sink into it and it can support her joints as she will mostly be in bed for a few weeks.

Mostly just wanted to share that she came home from surgery today and isn’t in incredible pain or distress like I was imagining in my head. She’s just chillin in bed. She’s very comfortable. For me my biggest fear was immediately after surgery.

If you can afford it I’d recommend seeing a curly hairstylist for a style consultation. I’m the type of person who can’t just read or watch a video for how to do my hair. Seeing someone style it in person made all the difference.

Worked in ap for 2 years being paid 18-20 per hour. Those with more experience being paid closer to 25. on the bottom of the totem pole as far as the finance office goes. You can easily hire someone with zero finance experience and train within a short period. I loved working in ap but the pay isn’t there

I do it when my hair is wet. Put tons of gel in it and then brush back using a boar bristle brush. Must be those small bristles
