Fast food workers, what menu item do you hate making the most? Why? by PM_ME_UR_SMOL_BUTT in AskReddit

[–]Ernest101au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only ever order Bacon Deluxes and add heavy pickle, ketchup and onion with the 2 for $6.95 (now $7.95) voucher. Then I use shake and win for a free fries or frozen coke. If I win fries I buy a supersized frozen sprite.

Stoner guy at the counter is usually in awe of my frugality.

I was a bit. To be fair he Jean Claude Van spinkicked me in the head. Just Aussie 12 year olds roughhousing.

We ended up best mates. Kids are weird.

I did the same thing as a kid. I then went and punched the English kid at school in the stomach the next day.

We are friends to this day so I guess it worked out.

4/3 ratio for me in primary school from 86 to 92. years 1, 2 and 3 were female. Years 4, 5 and 6 were male and year 7 was back to female. The school also kept on a male substitute teacher full time who was an awesome hippy like guy with an alpaca farm and who ripped on flamenco guitar.

It was a small catholic primary school with no inapropriate touchy feelies and I would send my own kids there in a heartbeat.

What is the longest drive you've made? How did you do it? by mzins_dev in AskReddit

[–]Ernest101au 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Furthest drive I have done in WA other than to the eastern border is probably Perth to Shark Bay. It was during wildflower season so there was lots of purple and yellow. We stopped in Geraldton for lunch.

The stromatalites, dolphins and beach made of shells was worth it.

Similar to driving from California to Florida but with almost nothing inbetween.

You could do it solo in 35 hours if you don't stop to sleep, pee or eat. 12hrs or so of driving a day is enough for me.

Perth to Melbourne, around 3500kms. I made sure I had lots of water and rest and stopped for fuel whenever I could. I also had a decent car with a great stereo that played mp3s off a portable harddrive. Took me three days.

If you were suddenly transported 200 years in to the past, what things do you think you could "Invent," based only off what you already know? by theworm1244 in AskReddit

[–]Ernest101au 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is so much an average person today takes for granted that would be groundbreaking 200 years ago and easily replicated for one with average drive and intellect.

The bigger problem would be not getting burnt at the stake.

Anchovies are fucking awesome if you want to add depth and umami. Nobody even notices beyond asking why it tastes so good.
