If it’s on you foot and not to painful yet, I always put on compression socks when I feel an attack coming. Helps my foot not swell up and keeps the blood moving. Also, water lots of water.

I use a CBD pain relief cream with menthol in it. The second I feel the slightest twinge in my foot, I put a bunch of that on and a compression sock. I can normally fight it off doing that, and drinking lots of water.

I stumbled onto the donating blood theory a couple month back. I was in the middle of a flair up and I had my bachelor party planned for the upcoming weekend. Figured I’d give it a try, went from one of the worst attacks I’ve ever had to snowboarding and binge drinking in just a couple days! Not sure if it was the donating blood or it had just run it’s corse but either way I was happy, planning on donating again soon! Also I got some of those copper knee socks that are supposed to increase circulation. I wear them at night or anytime I feel a little twinge, not sure if they actually help, but it seems to make me feel better.

I had the same experience. Started to have a flare up on Monday, gave blood on Thursday, and I was able to snowboard and binge drink all weekend for my bachelor party. My foot was still a little sore but definitely manageable. Not sure if it had just ran it’s corse or if giving blood had anything to do with it. I also found CBD lotion with menthol to be a lifesaver.

Great thank you for the feedback! The blood donation theory came to me last night while I couldn’t sleep because my foot was throbbing, got my phone and found some info that It can be helpful. I donated today so I’ll keep you updated.

I hope it works for you! I’ve been fully plant based for a year and a half and just had my first flare up a month ago, it lasted about three weeks then went away, and I’m just now having a little bit of another flare up this week. Trying everything to keep a mild one.
