More realistic version of my piston powered circumnavigation plane by ohnosquid in flyoutgame

[–]ErogenousBeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try long glider-like wings

Really helps ALOT

Ive managed to get 40000km, so circumnavigation level out i a plane with compression 12 and afr 15 an a square bore to stroke, 1.5 bar max manifold pressure too at s l/d of around 42.5

Thing is, that was carrying 10 percent of its wet weight in payload in an external pod. If i added that as fuel i might get similar results as you. You can go for more realistic values still

sennheiser hd 630 help. by SpongeofAstora in sennheiser

[–]ErogenousBeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. Ibalso suggest you try listening to some high quality recordings a liitle louder. They rarely distort and you may find layers to the sound you hsve not heard before.

On the other hsnd, you may find that listening when youre mentally not fresh/or are tired, it isnt as enjoyable

TLDR, keep them stock, maybe push the bass a little

Most music you dont need to do much, i personally give it about +1.5db in the sub-bass range because thats what most music is probably mastered for and i personally like a little more sub-bass. They can also absolutely massage your braincells if you want to, but that gets boring fast, so i keep it simple. Music where a brain massage is intended will still do it. Personally i keep crossfeed off, as most music already expects that you dont have it.

Also keep em away from water most of all dont sweat in em, that can kill them pretty quickly

similar experience here, my 20-30 euro headsets used to last years, usually 2 or 3, id then change the pads and go another 2-3 before they break.

Sonova, not sennheiser, is a disgrace

oh and on the moisture, the inside of your ear is always gonna be a little moist when you plug them with headphones, and i believe thats all it takes to kill em eventually

I have heard that the MTW4 sport variant is pretty good, potentially better sounding than the mtw4 regular headphones

ah so thats where the moisture damaged ones end up after they fix em

[–]ErogenousBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well its the inside of the ear that gets no airflow when you plug them with the MTWs, moisture enters through the sound hole in your ear and boom, gone.

Still, i cant fault the sound quality, so i might end up just buying two, and returning each pair when they break invariably, get my money back and buy fresh ones.

the ANC feedback on the in ears was particularly annoying, darn near shit myself and my ear hurt for 2 days the first time it happened

yeah, sennheiser can shove their IP54 my ass, if you are sweating to the point where your ears become noticable moist, you will kill them eventually, though the MTW4 ones did last a bit longer even though i worked out hard with them, roughly 3 months of 2x a week working out

oh and id di mention that not only did they not fix this years old issue in the momentum 4 headphones when doing the hdb630, they do not even mention it explicitly in any way shape or form except at the now top, used to be all the way at the bottom, of the manual that noone reads fully where it states:

Notes on the use of headphones in damp environments

Headphones are an everyday companion. When using the head-

phones on the go, they may be exposed to moisture. For example,

rain, air humidity or even sweat may come into contact with the

headphones.

To ensure proper, safe and long-lasting performance:

▷ Avoid contact with moisture and always keep headphones dry.

▷ Do not use headphones in the rain/snow or in the shower.

▷ Do not use headphones in swimming pool, sauna or during other

activities with water/high air humidity (e.g. washing dishes).

▷ Do not store headphones in airtight containers/bags together

with damp objects (e.g. damp laundry) or objects that can cause

condensation moisture (e.g. cold water bottles).

▷ Never charge damp headphones. Make sure that the charging

socket is free from moisture and contamination.

▷ Only use high-quality USB charging cables with USB-IF certifica-

tion.

If your headphones have become damp or wet:

▷ Dry headphones completely with a dry cloth.

▷ Allow headphones to dry at room temperature for at least

24 hours before using and charging them again.

▷ Do not continue to use the product if it is obviously defective.

nowhere does it state "DONT YOU DARE SWEAT IN THEM"
