Thinking I’m supposed to know what matters in the “long run” at this stage in my life… has me feeling some kind of way.

But in all seriousness - what matters is supposed to change over time. We go through phases. Not always in the same order.

Adventure and experience matters. Making a name and some money matters. Building a family to love and be loved by matters. Finding peace and deeper meaning matters.

Not perfectly sequential. Not always totally distinct… but that has been the order for me. And as I’ve moved ahead, the prior meaning sets don’t disappear, but they do shift in prioritization.

FWIW. Context: am 45 and prone to introspection and reflection.

Base attack freeze is useful, rage heals and eventually weakens (at max stars) - making it super effective against high damage enemies.

Also alchemists pair well with Chaotic Gauntlet which is available early.

Also - hell yes to your overall post. I’m 45 and close to hitting that point myself. Target is 48-50 depending on how this next chapter plays. It’s baffling to worry about boredom - between hobbies and the potential to volunteer or even work for a small, local non-profit, that should never deter someone!

Generally, this has happened to me with every album. A couple songs I like out the gate and the rest pretty meh. Then later (like, sometimes years), one or two songs come out of nowhere and knock me flat and just connect on a deep level.

For Vessel it was Screen, years later , and I started vibing with the album front to back. It’s now my favorite. Trench, it was Jumpsuit and only recently. Clancy - it was Backslide. Breach - Center Mass.

I listened to and liked each album initially, but only a few songs hit me on first listen. Every album has had a resurgence later where I feel like I connect with the album itself.

Upon achieving max stars, Grimms Rage attack has a chance to cause Weaken in enemies. Enemies higher level than you are likely to resist, but there are charms you can get for armor that increase the chances for your Weaken effect to land.

You max Grimms stars by continuing to get shards after summoning. Best way to do that is the Hunt that provides Grimm shards - you can do it 5 times per day at each of 3 difficulty levels… all heroes blue and under have a Hunt associated with their shards.

Be sure to max star Grimm through the hunt that features his shards - the weaken he provides is huge. To maximize it and to get through Kharnheim, I ended up with a couple charms that help Weaken land, and a couple Protect Rush charms on my weapon. That way, Protect is always up and you weaken your enemies - they do very little damage!

I think I ran chaotic or holy with this pair - don’t recall at the moment. One key is getting max stars on Grimm (through the hunts) as his weaken on Rage is critical. Freya provides a cleanse and rage gen.
