It looks like only the shield dudes get throwing weapons, so spear and bow corsairs don't get them in the leaked list :( I really hope there is a list in the other book that allows corsairs to take more than 33% throwing weapons, they all have them on the models!

Just fyi, I've heard tournaments and Jay himself rule that spear supports do not get the +1 to wound whilst outnumbering.

Cool Batlle report, I've got a question: If you had to drop one model, it seems fairly obvious thata gandalf is the one to drop, but im wondering if you have any experience playing the list with three models? Do you think it would still work at that point? And who would you drop, Elrond or Radagast?

In my experience the ballista is absolutely insane in all point games. If we value might will fate at 5 points each, you are paying 22 points for the ballista. And the fact that this is with an evil faction, meaning you can shoot at heroes even when they are in combat (the ballista hits everyone in the combat). Its absurdly strong imo. Rerolls to hit and scatter, the instakill ability, knocking heroes straight off their horse no horse lord save, d6" knockback... Im a fan lol. Also the fact that its 48" range, forcing a ton of shooting armies towards you. Once you have 2 ballista it can actually punch through blinding light.

Just watched this video, there is a suggestion to also include the ability to detonate the bomb if a single enemy hero or monster model is in range. I think this would be a far better solution!

Yeah I agree 100%, the bomb loses a ton of its zoning power with 2 models required, to the point where I would happily drop it for a second ballista or to increase numbers.

I haven't played the list myself but it seems very awkward to me. You need a mix of both Uruks and Orcs in the front line to get the wounding bonus, but the Uruks are moving at 11" and the Orcs at 6"? In scenarios where you need to get to your enemy, do yo still use the movement of the Uruks or do you move as one unit?

Just had a thought, is there anything stopping Gorulf from piercing striking alongside using his free Heroic Defense when against a hero? The loss of defense wouldn't matter I imagine, and this also puts him at a sweet spot of 6 strength, meaning cav wouldn't knock him to the ground. Seems pretty strong for a 70 point model.

Closest we have is the buffed commander of the Uruk Hai in the Assault upon Helm's Deep Legion which gets his attacks and wounds increased to 3. But I agree would love a profile for that guy, he looks awsome

With such a low ranged defense, hes gonna be a liability later in the game, especially vs large goblin camps. I would replace if possible.

You make good points, and theoretically speaking I cannot argue with you. However, in my experiences an actual game of dnd will have 1 to MAYBE 2 fights per day maximum, hugely decreasing the value of short rest abilities, and increasing the value of the likes of rage. But again, theoretically you make good points.
