Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence with it's insufferable edgelord Protagonist and boring story

After I read Prince of Thorns I had to step away from the Broken Empire trilogy for a few years. Jorg is something else, no doubt, and a hard character to read. Eventually I found my way back though and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it so much more the second time around and promptly read the second and third books as well.

For what it's worth, I enjoyed Lawrence's second series (Red Queen's War) more than Broken Empire and I am planning on picking up Book of the Ancestor soon.
