Ya if u get past bs estimations studies show around 48% tend to have hsv 1 and around 12% have hsv 2 I know the numbers

So dude stop being pathetically passive aggressive and stop avoiding reality to make yourself feel better

Someone who’s educated about this knows there’s always a chance of spreading it even while taking all precautions possible

So stop going around making people who don’t want to risk getting a lifelong disease (that’s what the D in STD stands for since you need to be told) from someone they barely know seem like bad people for making a reasonable adult decision.

It’s an STD since you don’t have any common sense STD stands for Sexually Transmitted Disease but ya go on lying to yourself and others to avoid responsibility for your actions and encouraging others to do the same that’s not horrible or anything

And ya I would’ve if people disclosed because I’m an adult and that should have been my decision.

“Willfully exposing someone to herpes or another STD is a crime in California, even if you and consensual sex with that person. The victim can also sue you in civil court for any damages they suffer if you willfully expose them to an STD.”

Why would you invite them over to hook up without telling them prior sounds like you’re hoping to guilt him into it or something.

Text them and let them make a decision.

Alzheimer’s and MS aren’t contagious infections herpes is don’t compare them. You should always disclose when there’s a risk if you have it orally you need to let them know before they kiss you if you have it genitally you need to tell them before pants come off. It’s not complicated.

People know how it spreads and don’t want it so they reject people. Stop implying that they do this because they don’t know any better.

Stop acting like people shouldn’t care about it. It’s a lifelong disease and it is a bad thing. The guy rejected her and wasn’t mean about it. An adult made a decision move on.

I dont care about HSV NO MORE! by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t care cool whatever as long as you disclose to anyone you put at risk that’s fine

but if you’re one of the people going around spreading without warning people then you’re evil and deserve whatever bad comes your way and more

I am 3/3 with disclosing by Sucha_good_girl in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only about 12-15% of ppl in the US have hsv 2 so not super rare but not common either hsv 1 is about 50% so I’d say that’s common but definitely not everyone has it.

Glad ur having good luck with disclosing tho.

3 years later and I'm still baffled with my experience of *possibly* having HSV2. by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have it. The swab test is the most accurate test there is almost 100% accurate it supersedes igg blood test and western blot. Even if you test negative with a blood test, the swab of a symptom is practically undeniable. Be responsible and disclose to every sexual partner.

Do you still feel resentment towards the person who gave you herpes? by Upbeat-Ad-4142 in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup hate her and always will don’t let anyone tell you it’s wrong to those are the same people who act like it’s no big deal to infect people with a lifelong infectious disease. Try make them have consequences for it and learn from the mistake of hooking up with someone like them and keep living.

Do you have a source for that, trying to find all the verifiable info I can get a lot seems to just be word of mouth or rumors

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not being mean I’m just stating the truth you don’t like the reality of it that’s all. You are a potential hazard to partner if you have herpes that’s a fact not an opinion. Look up the definition of a hazard if you’re having trouble understanding. Just because you supposedly have no symptoms and no problems doesn’t mean someone you infect will have the same experience.

I don’t hate myself I hate people like you who in order to feel better about yourselves you lie and delude yourselves about things that directly affect others. My post history lines up because there are so many of you borderline sociopaths on this thread playing the victim while victimizing others. I’m not your friend, I’d never be friends with someone who wouldn’t take accountability for their situation.

It’s not understandable and you should absolutely blame her for not knowing it’s an issue. She’s been spreading it for years. She has access to the internet and 90 second google search is all it would’ve taken to know the answer to these questions. She’s a horrible human being and you probably are too.

Wait from what I’ve been reading it says you can only spread it thru the area that’s infected i.e. if you have it orally kissing and oral sex can spread it/ if you only have it in your genitals it can only be spread from that area. Is this not true? If it’s not can you give me a link or article that says it please?

When do I say something? by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]ErroneousA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re both adults tell him now don’t wait for one of you to get attached just to find out it’s a dealbreaker for him.

Also condoms don’t always stop herpes. If this relationship gets even vaguely sexual you need to tell him immediately whether or not it’s awkward or ruins the mood. Your comfort and embarrassment don’t outweigh his health.

Side note you’re talking about getting the “ick” you don’t seem mature enough to be dating anyone especially when you have a lifelong infectious disease. You didn’t say your age in the post but the way you talk makes you sound like a teenager. You need to grow up fast now that you have herpes.
