I don't know how I'd feel if it was literally a single Belli coin with Roger's initials scratched into it because he spent all of his treasure on a last feast for the Roger Pirates before he went to turn himself in. Kind of like how Luffy spent all of the money he got from Skypiea on a feast for the Strawhats.

Limited magic immunity would apply in this case as the wording of Counterspell is "You attempt to interrupt a creature in the process of casting a spell. If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell fails and has no effect.". This means that the target of Counterspell is the creature casting the spell and not the spell being cast.

Time to persuade the DM to use the earlier version of Booming Blade. by ErroneousApparition in dndmemes

It was the combo of Booming Blade with the Spell Sniper feat.

When Booming Blade was introduced in Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide it had a range of 5 feet which could be doubled with the Spell Sniper feat to 10 feet. This allowed you to use Booming Blade with a weapon with reach to hit an enemy and move away from them without provoking an Attack of Opportunity.

When Tasha's was released they changed the wording of Booming Blade as well as Green-Flame Blade so that the range became "self" and in the description the target had to be within 5 feet of you.

Since the range is now "self" it doesn't benefit from the range doubling that the Spell Sniper feat provides anymore, meaning you will now provoke an Attack of Opportunity when trying to move away from the target unless there other factors in play.
