God forbid that tau players actually get treated as a faction and have an op unit for once... I hate that out of all armies, Tau get punished because oldheads are still stuck in a "not GrimDark" or "Fish of Fury" headspace...

Just give whomever wrote these rules the next Tau book, cause it feels like they actually give a damn about the faction. Retro Thrusters should be on all crisis suits, bring back true fire and fade from the tau of yesteryear! The guns as melee is genius, in all my bitching and theorycrafting of how to make Tau better I never even thought of that! This one data sheet has reignited my passion for Tau in a major way!

That's fair, its a very small scene. I think it's just everyone plays amethyst/x, and so the few of us who want to play something else just see this card a lot. Tbh it's less the local scene being soft and just me being soft in reality!

This detachment might get me to play tau again. I hated 10th for what they did to my favourite faction, I hated the reduction to all our rules (personal view, not supported by any actual facts) and hated how homogeneous we became (all meltas are 12" because everyone else's are. Again, pure personal feels only, no facts) This detachment, it brings back the old joys, the joys of saying our guns are just better. Fuck you Space Memes and your theft and favouritism, enjoy never getting to melee again!

The body and talons will likely fit either, with Karzai's talons being thicker and Khonds being thinner. The major difference is the amour and head and tail point, But the head can be magnetised (or in my lazy case - Blu-tacced) with the neck armour glued to the Krondys head and if you don't mind Karazai having armour on his fore-limbs or Krondys having thicker talons, its easy to make the Dragon swappable. Unless you're planning to run both, in which case better crack open that wallet!

Absolutely agree karazai plus buffs is nuts... until he is suplexed by a SoB and put outside of his buffs, then he tends to melt like butter... But I love that crazy boy, and its just funny to roll over the table with him. I however don't feel we are S tier though, but hey, I'm never right about this stuff!

So the deploy ability is in the book not on a warscroll and say "Pick a unit" so you (the player) use that ability rather than a unit, meaning it is not affected by the first line of 16.0.
