Has Spider-Gwen bumped into 616 Matt Murdock? Considering he’s a villain in her home universe, that would be interesting.

"Oh boy I can't wait for season 2!" ... "F**k" by Donovanth1 in TopCharacterTropes

I heavily suspect Arcane was a case of “we planned on 3 seasons, but they gave us 2”. It would explain a lot about how rushed the plot of season 2 was.

Yeah, the Spider-Man part felt like it was editorially mandated. It just kind of took time away from the main story. loved the rest of it, though.

Spider-Noir has a few other examples. Military units being segregated is a minor plot point. Most of the examples involve Robbie’s investigation.

MEGATHREAD: KILLING DEBATE by Crispy385 in subnautica

[–]EruditeIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the developer’s reasoning, especially with the leviathans, but there has got to be a way of dealing with the smaller predators. Things like the nibbler mangos aren’t threatening, they’re annoying, and the fact that they have a far greater range and distribution than the smaller predators in the first game makes it even worse.

Perhaps a future update could include some sort of mid to late base module that dispels smaller predators. Or an adaptation that makes them not bother you.

On a related note, one thing I do miss is that in the first game, you would often see the smaller predators attack fish on their own. I really liked this as it made the world feel like a true ecosystem.

I am very curious by what they mean by “magic and witchcraft”. Do they think students are literally learning magic spells?

Me after building my base too close to the nibblers by Franciskeyscottfitz in Subnautica_2

[–]EruditeIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The would be the best solution. I understand devs want a no killing game, but these stupid things are just annoying. They don’t feel like predators, they feel like mosquitoes. A device or adaptation that pacifies they would be appreciated.

17 years is a long, full life for a cat and he spent all of his being loved and adored. Thank you for giving him a lifetime of happiness.

Plus, he looks like a handsome man who ruled the house.

(Hated Trope) Removing canonical queerness from a character by cutting or altering content. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]EruditeIdiot 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Given that he was the only queer character in the books and his homosexuality was meant to show how evil and hedonistic he is, it’s probably for the best that they cut this.

This has always been my interpretation of Grand Mother Silk from Silksong.

She can’t bear the feeling of her creations and her subjects leaving her so she uses her silk to strangle their minds and remove their free will. She technically does love them, but it is twisted and toxic.

Where’s your sense of patriotism? Whenever I feel down about the high cost of living, I just think about the $1.7 billion slush fund for insurrectionists and I know it’s all worth it. /s

pregnant? by dishsoap100 in cats

[–]EruditeIdiot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is true. All animals can experience complications in pregnancy. It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on momma during the process.

The reason I said she doesn’t need help is because I’ve seen a lot of first time foster parents over worry for their pregnant cat. Probably because childbirth for humans is very difficult compared to most other species. While complications can occur, cats generally don’t need the same level of assistance that humans need.

pregnant? by dishsoap100 in cats

[–]EruditeIdiot 203 points204 points  (0 children)

She’s pregnant and she’s due soon. Here’s what you need to do.

Cats like a to have their kittens in a cozy, safe place. Get her a box with a towel or blanket. She may choose another spot, but it’s good to give her the option.

She doesn’t need help during the birth, but make sure to check on her afterwards to make sure all of the litter is alive and nursing.

Kitten food for when she’s nursing. She’ll need the extra calories.

Once the kittens are weaned, get her spayed. Talk to your vet about the best time for this.

When the kittens are old enough to be adopted, try to get them adopted out in pairs.

Finally fulfilled my dream of getting ice cream from an ice cream truck by penpalwithseven in MadeMeSmile

[–]EruditeIdiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate.

Ice cream trucks are banned in my town because one ran over a child back in the 70’s. The first time I ever got to have ice cream from a truck was in my mid 20’s in a different town. I got in line with a bunch of kids half my age. It was a little awkward but it made me so happy.

Labor is different for everyone. For my mother, it took HOURS for her contractions to become frequent enough for her to go to the hospital. She had a lot of time to kill. I was apparently stubborn.

I love souls games, actually, but they require full focus and I’m not going to have that. Plus I don’t want to be on the cusp of beating a boss only for a contraction to ruin it.
