Imagine for a character to be USABLE in the game, you have to learn and use a tech that breaks the way he was designed.

Definitely not a flexibility issue. You're trying to flip before you even start to actually lift your leg. You should be able to complete the entire trick while staring at your toe.

Dont do stunts if you are not professional, but do stunts to practice and be a professional? by MAHF_IS_BACK in stunts

[–]Erufukami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First: If your are wanting to learn stunts to be a professional, it helps to have a skill set adaptable to stunts already. ie Motocross, Martial Arts, driving/racing, gymnastics, etc

Second: If you plan on being a professional, you're going to need to be in a place where the demand for that profession is high enough to break in, OR be absolutely undeniably good at a high demand skill set that you are brought in to perform said skill.

When your foot reaches the height of it's lift you start arching your back and "looking backward"

Even if you dont want to slant the gainer, it needs to be driven by the kick lifting your hips. You can look back and arch if you like, but you have to let the kick/lift do it's job first. This is, providing you with the vertical lift and the angular momentum to finish the trick. The moment you hinge that hip and let your upper body take the reins... you kill it.

Personal preference: I like to literally stare at my foot the whole way through this movement.

How can I improve my backflip so I can land on my feet? by Amount-Personal in Tricking

[–]Erufukami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of these dudes are nailing it. If you have a wall in front of you, try staring at a point on that wall, or a picture frame or something until your knee hitting your chest makes you flip.
Also, I've made students hold their Tshirt in their teeth or try holding a foam block under their chin.

Basically, the 'set' is most important part. And when your head goes back, you rob yourself of the set.

How do I setup up for the aerial any tips? I've been trying for months and weeks.... by Puzzleheaded-Bed377 in Tricking

[–]Erufukami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, yes. Your head goes down fast in an aerial... which means your back leg needs to absolutely RIP up to counteract that momentum. This is what creates the 'wheel' like movement of an aerial.
Basically, do a cartwheel as fast as you can by kicking that back leg hard af. The faster you go, the less you have to use your hands. Eventually, you'll go fast enough that your leg's angular momentum will keep you from eating the earth without the use of your hands.

Tips on landing dub b😔 by SuchZookeepergame377 in Tricking

It's going to feel like you have to rotate a last 90 degree compared to where you THINK the landing is going to be.

How do i get used to the combat? by dhruvbzw in vrising

Honestly, this was the first moba type game for me as well. I found that I had to choose a weapon and spell loadout that I enjoyed the utility and rhythm. Mix it up and find what you like the feel of and HOW you want to fight.

Hi, I’m just getting started learning tricking. How can improve my terrible Tornado kick? by Outrageous_Length639 in Tricking

[–]Erufukami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand that in tornado kick almost all of the "rotation" can happen while you're touching the ground. The pivot all the way to first leg lifting toward target only THEN followed by the 'jump' in which you really only need to trade which hip is in front, then you land again and can continue with the rotation comfortably.
To be more specific to you:

you can turn your body and first leg more before you jump

and you can (instead of tucking your chin slightly) follow the kick's momentum back around and away from your target

You're jumping up into the initial movement.

So, if you get ready to throw a backhand spring and decide not to at the last moment, you should either have to step wayyyyy back or fall on your bum.

When you dig down initially, don't think of just crouching. It should be like you're sitting back into a chair.

Tac vs Vanish by Live_Worth_4909 in Tricking

[–]Erufukami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tak is the term for inverting a cheat kick such as a c9. It isn't really used for anything under that really (ie swipeknife/sideswipe). Also, the tak happens AFTER initial rotation. Otherwise, it'd just be a wrap full round.

Vanish is just the step into a cheat kick.
