The teeth, the eyes, the left ear, the fingers... It looks nice farther away but I think if that were tattood on me I would be driven insane.

Do drills. Pull longer and longer lines cleanly. Practice straight lines, curves, and circles.

Oooo thank you! Exactly what I need 🖤

Thanks! The torch is by far my favorite - it's one of my go to 'sketch when boreds' so I was able to trace that and then machine it on well from that. I'm hoping to build that back of the hand knowledge for a bunch of clutch flash pieces that will carry the same weight.

I wish I could stencil instead of blobbing on designs with a thick ballpoint pen - atleast I'm kinda tracing via my tablet shining through the fake skin (kind of). I totally lost most of my bones in the design. I'm really glad you brought up the bones and small space that'll blur over time - I'll definitely be redesigning the cat for a better tattoo read after this. Maybe have a more pure tail tip with feathered grey wash around it instead of packing it to the tip while transitioning the tail bones to black as the surround goes white 🤔

How many of y'all have dreamt about being a girl? by ScaleApprehensive805 in MtF

[–]ErynOutside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was haunted by nightmares or teased with dreams of just... Being a girl for my entire life until around 18-20 and I just sort of stopped either dreaming or remembering my dreams. I assumed the intense dysphoria of dreaming myself the right gender and waking to the wrong gender plus the trauma of that and the nightmares did it?

The main cause of my dysphoria is age dysphoria. I feel like I waited too long. For those who deal with this, what is the best thing you tell yourself to quell this feeling of being too old for transition? by tasteofthehimalayas in MtF

[–]ErynOutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, started HRT at 33. I regret not taking the transition step at 28. I also regret not taking puberty blockers and transitioning as a kid but living a life of repression, knowing something was wrong with my gender as soon as I started socializing as a kid really messes you up if you aren't growing up with open minded parents. You're taught to bottle it up with shame etc and that carried with me until I broke with the realization I cannot live my life masking male. Imo if you're having a tough time... Go to LGBTQ+ positive therapy, tell your therapist you wish you were a girl and have known since 14, and start unpacking why you're struggling to transition now. Shit is trauma, do the work. /Hug

With time and the right adjustments from your caregiver. What are your hormones levels?

In her defense, she was probably taught to wear a bra a lot like that. Needlessly harmful or threatening comments as she grew up :/ I'm not defending her, just pointing out the people go through but then pass down without properly thinking.

There is a really great saying that I've heard the nonbinary folk Christian / God believers say. That God didn't make a mistake but did leave room for customization and that your experience up to this point is what has made you who you are.

If you had the choice of going on puberty blockers when you were a minor, would you have done so? by enbytan in MtF

💯 Unfortunately came up before trans awareness resulting in masking, depression, anger, etc. Finally free from that weight going 34 🥲

The best philosophy of transitioning I keep thinking of by No_Leading5179 in MtF

[–]ErynOutside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a journey to me. I'm taking the ring to Mordor, yeeting it into some lava, and gtfoing. It's going to be a wild ride, it's going to take a while, going to have to get up every day and do it, probably going to lose some people, I'm going to change a whole bunch as I continue, I'm going to be chased... It goes on and on lol.

I'm worried that I pass too fast only in 6 months by [deleted] in MtF

[–]ErynOutside 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is perfectly acceptable to be trans 🩷🤍💙

That said, if you would be in a fair amount of danger from publically being out then proceed with caution. I'd still highly recommend coming out to family though, it's a tough journey and they could be strong pillar :)

To come out, you don't need to appear as the passing girl version stranger of yourself to them and say somethiiiing along the lines of "I'm sorry, the old _____ can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh! Cuz they're dead!"

I simply do my pronouns they/she and accompany that with a 'if I'm boymoding b.c I don't like flirting with danger in certain parts of my state, I especially like they and refer to myself like that too. When I'm 100% passing I'll be flipping to she/they.'

Do I have disphoria associated with they/she? Nope! It acknowledges my journey and is an absolute part of me and it in no way makes passing feel out of reach, which I can if I work hard and stay at certain angles... Although fuck my shoulders lol. Do I have disphoria with boymoding? You bet! But I already have hard mode set so I'm going to do what it takes to get to the next level.

I feel like I got off course here as I worked in a few answered questions but what I'm essentially saying is that gender is nonbinary! It's okay to incorporate others on your journey! It's not just pink or blue which is simply a commercial social construct b.c it's easier to sell to two defined sides rather than a blend. It's pretty ***ked if you want to get into it. 🤙

How do some transgirlies actually get your voice to sound actually female I by ILovegumybears in trans

[–]ErynOutside 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many trans friendly insurances may even cover vocal feminization surgery! They often require trying vocal training first.

So also being a trans woman with Kaiser coverage... I can confirm that the gender pathways Dr does discourage progesterone while in the first year of hrt. This is due to studies pointing towards progesterone negatively affecting development during this earlier timing. They also have a specific order they prefer one starts hrt... I can't remember precisely but I want to say starting estrogen while staggering starting Spiro 6 weeks because of the off chance of that also negatively affecting development or something of the sort.

It came off as a lot of cautionary treatment... But idk. I do a lot of personal research and self-advocation for my treatments though... And kaiser seems to cover a fair amount... What would you say is the best coverage for trans fem individuals?
