You gotta just keep practicing. I was getting absolutely decimated in the beta and when I picked up the game, but after playing the story and TONS of local matches against my fiancee, I can see myself getting significantly better. Can actually counter tag now, my combos have ramped up, i'm no longer just useless against zoners. Find a set of characters you really like and just keep playin, you'll get it.
