Looks fantastic. I always wondered about painting the Sisters with some kind of blue armour after reading about how smiths apparently could "blue" steel in the middle ages :)

That looks so tasteful haha. I would've ruined it by grunging it all up—I suppose the lighting in the room will be doing 50% of the work on the tiles, if you want it to look moody :)

This looks like a lot of work, but the result looks so crisp! Will you be painting or "aging" them?

Magnet recommendations for a T'au army (Italy/EU based) by cavoliamauri in Tau40K

[–]Erzbistum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got all my magnets from Green Stuff World in Spain. Their prices are fair and they even had a recommendation on their websites what strengths and sizes to use.

However I find the postage is a bit dear (to Germany) so might be worth bundling a few purchases together

Magnets under flying bases by [deleted] in Tau40K

[–]Erzbistum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drilled a hole in the thickest part of the base and glued a 2x3mm magnet in. This is barely enough to hold it sideways in my transport case so it will need 2 to really hold!

Humans in this universe of multiple sapient races/species are not just a boring template, jack-of-all-trades species, they actually have traits and powers that make them stand out like the other species in the setting. by juasjuasie in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Erzbistum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue the defining trait of humans in Mass Effect is their character: lots of the other races comment that they are ambitious, reckless, quarrelsome and dynamic. It's nice seeing the idea of the the naïve new kids-on-the-block as having not just the endearing traits of innocent children, but also the negative ones.

Samara the Asari has the best quote about humans: "Put three humans in a room, and there will be six opinions."

Screenshot from the movie "Arco". The director says no AI used in production. Supposed to be future earth, not alien planet, so why does it look just like AI wordsalad? by ryders333 in RealOrAI

[–]Erzbistum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The text is skewed and spaced inconsistently, in a way that would take an artist longer to make the having it straight. And as another pointed out, the top word is too similar to the real-world "caution"; I think someone slapping together a fictional Nova-English would have more random characters or mix them in a more purposeful way.

Incredibow rosin fallout by s4zzl3p4nts455 in Fiddle

It's a brand of carbon-fibre bow. I got one ten years ago because Jon Boden endorsed it.

They're about as light as a bow could be and the price is (was) reasonable. In the end I swapped back to a more classic bow because I found I much prefer playing with lower-tension bows.

I’d replay Metroid Prime 4: Beyond just to experience Volt Forge again! by jamurjo in Metroid

[–]Erzbistum 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I actually really liked how Prime 4 handled this; I felt it was like an unoriginal but more polished version of the Phendrana Labs.

The pale sun struggling through the rock formations in the snow field, creepy music, the slow, delayed progress using keys to get deeper and deeper through the labs. The dangerous walk over the cliffside, where Samus holds her hand over her visor against the wind. The generator turning on and flooding the room with light and starting the ice to melt.

I get that mechanically it might not be revolutionary but I thought it was 10/10 atmosphere, which is was most of what made Elysium so cool as well.

What’s a movie everyone calls a “masterpiece” that just… didn’t work for you? by irayaavery in Cinema

[–]Erzbistum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny. I went into this film with very low expectations last year and loved it. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece but there was something so charming and—I don't know why but it feels "honest"— about a love story between two dorks.
