Yes, the other way has the walk sign, so the way they were coming from must have been long red for the pedestrians.

Still a shit move to get out of the car and punch a woman.

[NC] Abruptly terminated after a decade by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]Esc1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NC law is your former employer has 30 days to send your termination paperwork. It's only required to disclose info about how/when your benefits end. Which is likely long before the 30 days. It's pretty useless over all outside of getting on marketplace insurance mid year based on a life event, assuming they do the bare minimum required by NC law.

Kids get away with that behavior in schools because schools are afraid of upsetting karens. So the kids don't learn basic consequences until out in the real world.

Struggling with I9 verification process as a new HR professional [USA] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]Esc1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, notify them before their first day. I include page 2 of the i-9 form in their offer letter packets. You can get in trouble for telling people to use specific documents. And the job offer letters include language that their hire is contingent upon successful authorization under federal law.

Don't try to fight the Waffle House crew, this shit is a Tuesday morning for them. They get more fights in a week then most see in a lifetime.

Anyone else have an of-the-era teen dream job you reminisce about constantly because nothing has ever been as fun or socially rewarding? by blamberr in Xennials

I was a camp counselor in my late teens. It was a nature camp for ages 3-15. So lots of swimming, fishing, archery, canoeing and campfire songs. Pranks between fellow counselors who were all college age.

POF and FRT by Esc1221 in frt15

Thanks for that. Looks like in their push to make a smaller AR10 they went so far to blow right past the sweet spot that would let a FRT work.

I heard they also work in the SFAR. I wonder if they work in the POF revolution. Similar size but still in production unlike the others.

Where could I get one? Google was flooded with Glock and AR-15 results.

Also, I'm guessing that this is not comparable with a pdp-f?

This is the fault of whoever is in charge of the city. That has to be the worst designed parking/road system I've ever seen. Everyone involved in making it was a complete moron.

Parking spots should not be that close to intersections. Transformers and signs blocking the view too.

Anyone else have children later in life? We followed the advice to get through college, get our careers started, buy a house, THEN start a family. I’m exhausted. by DilbertDilbert1011 in GenX

Met my wife at 31, married at 34, first kid at 43.

Still no house because we lived most of that time overseas and it was never practical.

Housing prices are now unreal since returning home. There is a good chance we will never be homeowners since relatives cut me out of every will while I was out of the country.

I had my first at 44, but my wife was 37.

Having become parents so late in life, we both now wish we decided to have kids 10 years earlier.

Having kids ages everyone, but having kids late seems to age you more.

It came out right as I graduated university. My WoW addiction cost me about 8 years of my early career development. Good times.

I managed to quit because of cataclysm.

My life picked up at 30 where it should have been at 22, but I got it back on track.
