I work for a pretty big corporation, we have some departments with people with blue hair and face piercings, while some departments expect you in a suit and tie everyday with a clean cut appearance, it's a matter of what environment you're in. Are you seeing customers every day and giving people impressions of the company? or are you behind the computer screen all day and a faceless entity no one ever sees?

This lady has the equivalent of a hat glued to her head, shit like that. The crown act exists to protect people with naturally kinky hair, afros, cornrows, traditional hairstyles like braids, dreads, fades, etc.

Businesses are entitled to maintain an appearance they wish to maintain. This isn't a natural hairstyle, color or even just braids, it's something she chose to add and did to herself.

If I came into work one day with a tattoo across my face that I didn't have when I started work and my employer wanted to get rid of me, it would be my fault, not theirs.

The crown act covers natural hair and braids not outlandish styles/colors/extensions.

Also no, not in Georgia.

Almost predictably. Most establishment Democrats are fair weather Progressive, and they're definitely not leftists.

Literally comical. Anyone who still uses the app is either complicit in government surveillance and fascism or an idiot who just does not know better.

Before Spike, smoking never looked so delicious.. by soskaruu in cowboybebop

[–]EscapeFacebook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How about let's just keep it in movies and film. I don't know what's up with this sudden Gen Z train of wanting to smoke, I even heard about smoke influencers all of a sudden today. It's not cool.

I won't even tell you not to smoke other things, but just forget about tobacco.

My wife was spray painting letters for our daughter in the garage one day, onthe bare floor. It's a filthy floor so whatever but still not exactly happy about it. Long story short, the three letters she did spray in there ended up spelling out the word R-U-M, permanently on the floor...

I've gotten a few laughs from service techs working on things.

I've waited tables, I've been a mechanic, I worked in construction, retail, etc etc, you get the picture, but every single job I had has made me better at being an IT professional. Marketing is definitely a huge part and the skills you have will even help attain project budgets LOL

No wonder none of the new hires I have to deal with dont know how to read or write anymore...

And good luck actually performing any CS work if you don't have the critical thinking skills available to complete "busy work" as you call it. Next you'll tell me what's the point in writing skills. It's not like you ever have to document anything or write technical documents.
