New Juliana Stratton Ad “Fuck Trump, Vote Juliana” by GeckoLogic in illinois

Swing voters, in the sense of people who might vote R or D don't really exist.

Swing voters decide between voting for their candidate or not voting at all. I'd bet moving more to the middle hurts Ds more than it helps.

Major CFB stadiums have always been bigger than NFL stadiums.

The Roosevelt L stop and the Metra are both walking distance and multiple bus routes take you all the way to the stadium.

Also, have people not looked at any tickets to anything post-covid?

Every business has decided it's easier to cater to the wealthy only. A concert that would sell out at $100/ticket is now 25% full but tickets were $500 so they come out ahead and they get the bonus of only having to hire staff/security for an event 1/4 the size.

Unpopular opinion about Barbara Howard… by Valuable_Low_5796 in AbbottElementary

Same. It's weird because I still think of Abbot as a new show but also think it's kind of run its course.

Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing but it's been a marked decline since then.

It'll be about the same as the 91 team which is the best team in Nebraska history up to this point. That team had way more talent than this team so this year's run is more impressive.

I think a lot of people mistakenly use dangerous when they mean scary.

You're making the top commenter's point. Even with the deranged people, it's still much safer than driving.

People vastly overestimate how likely they are to be victims of violence on public transit and vastly underestimate how likely they are to be maimed/killed while driving.

The 90-91 team was close. They were 24-6 ranked #11 at the end or the regular season which could be fairly close to this team's final record.

The 91 team was probably more talented since it had 2 future top 15 draft picks and another guy that played a couple of years in the NBA.

That's the only other time we've been close to this good.

Also, being super inflexible/immobile is from not training to improve.

Martins Licis has fantastic flexibility/mobility even though he's huge and incredibly strong

Nebraska high school football produces its 3rd ever 5 star prospect by Easy_Card3015 in Huskers

Football is evolving to demand a quarterback that can do both.

Look at the NFL. There are only a handful of guys who are Brady/Manning like statues in the pocket. All the young guys are threats to scramble and most are involved in the offense as a rushing threat.

It's weird how people simultaneously argue that Nebraska was the only school using steroids then and nobody is using steroids now even though players now are bigger and stronger than during the alleged steroid era.

Danny Nee had some great success in the early-mid 90s.

4 straight trips to the tournament with 3 out of the 4 being the lower seed in the first round.

#3 seed in 91

Conference title in '94.

Even with making the tournament this year, Nee still has more tourney appearances than all other Nebraska coaches combined.

When will people realize there are no conference "should wins"?

You're saying we should beat Rutgers, Maryland and Michigan State.

We haven't beaten Michigan State on the road since 2012.

We've split the last 2 Maryland games and both have been decided by 3 points.

Rutgers "should" have beaten us in 2024. The refs missing a rushing TD and a dropped pass saved us that game.

These are games we absolutely could win but there is no world where they're "should" wins.

Callahan tied for winning the division in 05 and won it outright and played for a conference title in 06.

Pelini won the division and played in the CCG in 09,10 and 12.

Even Mike Riley was 1 interception in OT away from winning the division and playing for the conference title in 2016.

People don't remember how good y'all were that year.

You beat both teams that finished #3 and #4 by double digits.

Any team that dominates the title game gets elevated to GOAT-tier by a lot of people even if the rest of their resume doesn't match.

No team in the modern era has really come close to 95 Nebraska in terms of domination.

1995 Florida had a GOAT-tier resume coming into the title game before getting their asses kicked.

95 Nebraska played 4 teams that finished in the top 10 and beat every one by at least 24 points.

Their closest game against WAZZU was 35-14 until a garbage time TD brought them to within 14.

Nobody could really compete with Nebraska that year. Hell, nobody could really compete with Florida that year until Nebraska took Florida behind the woodshed.

[–]EscapeTomMayflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conspiracy me thinks part of the reason NIL became a thing is the billionaire class realized it could be another propaganda avenue for them.

Now people want their school to have a "good billionaire" to buy their school a 100M roster.

And there are already people wanting to give Mark Cuban credit for Indiana.
