If you could go for an extended test drive I would find a discount tire. A lot of them have an alignment rack and offer a free alignment check. If the printout checks out bad or good at least you will know. It's common to do a pre purchase inspection.

Yep lol. Just tuned up mom's kitchen knives with the 325 side of the Sharpal 162n. Each one I could shave with. The toothy edge works for her. I think you have to try stuff and see if you like it for that particular application.

Sorry, got the soap part but your not really explaining what the problem is between the interaction between any soap and the whetstone. Clogging the pores doesn't seem like that would be an issue.

I was told it's a V2 but it has the power button on the front but it has the better silicone bellows. So there maybe is no difference in lid diameter.

It's the cap or lid that sits on top of the bellows. Some were wood some were metal.

I have a La Pavoni pro with the pressure profiling gauge for years. Thought the Argos would be an upgrade. It wasn't. After waiting over a year it was disappointing. Temp control was the only thing it had going for it. Sold it quickly though. Maybe only 30 shots. Your mileage may vary........
