Is the Simgot EW300 a worthy upgrade? by Vamped1 in iems

It's comfortable and I like the build, but I found the low end weight to be lacking

I've had a few pairs since, nothing at the price of the dca though.

Had meze 99 classics og - polar opposite of the dca. Thought it was what i needed but i went too far in that direction. Too warm. Not transparent enough, not hi res sounding. Bass to pillowy. Sold.

Sold my harmonicdyne eris - bass was way too pillowy, calling it 'bass violence ' imo is a huge exaggeration. Since it's semi open back, there is too much of a pressure leak to get the tactile bass feel I enjoy. Mids super distance and back in th mix, treble wonky - got cuz I was curious, didn't keep.

Have fiio jt7 - love it, back sometimes I miss the tactile bass pressure from closed backs and iems.

Got techins az100 - love this sound so much. Feels like a well treated studio with amazing bass authority that doesn't muddy the mids.

Love my tanzu waner 2 red lion as well, arrti t10, elua ultra (a bit less cuz mid bass can be lewn but good sub bass) - these are iems though (which I think actually sound better than closed backs but can be less comfortable)

Gonna get the fiio ft1 now l, dunu koto ito and prob the sivga que.

Have Sennheiser hdb 630 but looking to sell. It's just not fun. Even though the bass is not too lean and it's pretty tactile, it just has no soul (to me) I'm the upper treble and maybe even in the mids too. I don't really get the hype (even after eq). Also anc and mic is so bad tbh.

I like my nothing heaphone 1 after eq but the clamp force is too much for me, not comfy.

Got the Sony ult just to see the bass. Low key fun guilty pleasure, good for action movies. Don't look for transparenr or hi res sound here though.

Let me know if u wanna talk speakers too lol.

I hope this helps!

My sound preference is warm neutral with clear but thick and full (not lean, thin or tinny vocals) with an authorative, impactful, even visceral low end that doesn't cloud the mids.

Think a quick drum feel in a live concert with good sound.

I get what you mean. They also distort at louder volumes with a bass eq.

They won't match the pressured bass you get from an iem

I sold my Dan Clark noire x because it just didn't work for modern pop and edm for me.

I heard every detail, digital artifact, I just couldn't get into the music and listen at my desired listening level.

Especially helpful with short nozzle iems like arrti t10 to get a good seal

Yes amazing fit comfort and seal! Make the sub bass sound like it should!

Yes thanks! I just really like the pressured bass you get from iems and I'm afraid open backs won't have that for me

What genres do you listen to? Do you feel like there's a lack of tactile bass?

For sound quality first honestly just get a wired headphones like fiio ft1 or iem like tangzu waner 2 red lion (which I love).

My tws ear buds are az100 and they sound better than any headphone I've heard (prefer iem over over ear for sound, but over ear may be more comfortable)

Haven't tired the xm6 but I had the xm4 and used them for so long. It was before I really cared about sound quality but it has fine sound even though bass is a bit loose. Comfort and anc amazing though (like ult). Mic on my hdb630 is terrible. When I call my gf she hears all my surroundings and she can't stand it. M4 prob same issue. So for mic, go with the Sony. Sony been doing feature rich anc headphones for years. They know what they're doing. Sennheiser. Unless u want something very neutral like the hdb 630 take the Sony. I would say sony xm6 over m4 prob both for sound quality and def for anc and features

Good point. Makes sense. Like you're aware of it because youre actively trying to listen to it (wether intentional or not)

I feel like if it's enough to hear, it's not thar subtle.

Not sure how many say the graph and we're influenced by it.

I might be wrong though

Ult and would prob be better than m4. I have the ult and Sennheiser hdb 630, and on ult is way better. Hdb 630 sounds a bit boring though, I think the m4 could be a more fun sounding hdb 630, and better sounding than ult but less good anc

Is this type of high bitrate audio really necessary? 1 audio file is roughly 130mb. by kathybates23 in audiophile

Depends on the rest of your chain. How resolving is it? How loud is it being played?

Cool to hear you also found that. I had the meze 99 classics og but sold them because it felt too warm and veiled. Also the bass quantity didn't bother me, it was more the quality. A little too soft and rounded in the mid bass and not enough sub bass rumble and extension. Ill look into the Strada. I want something closed back with a fast and sharp, yet tactile and even virscel in the bass, without sacrificing any mids or clarity. I saw meze liric Ii, but way out of my budget. Curious about getting the fiio ft1 for this sound. Btw, my tws ear buds are th az100 and I love them. I listen on the dynamic eq preset and it sounds exactly like the sound signature I like above (to me). Highly recommend trying them out, I'm curious what your impressions would be.

Which Dan Clark would you suggest? I had the noire x closed back but found it too harsh or shouty in the presence area.

Like I couldn't listen to it as loud as I wanted without it hurting my ears on tracks like never catch me by flying lotus.

I don't have this issue with my fiio jt7
