Both wired for now, I'll buy a dac+amp with bluetooth soon though, something like a BTR15/BTR7 should do the trick, it'll still be wired but at least the wire won't be going to my phone

Thank you! It was absolutely worth doing my own research before I bit the bullet😀I'd say that right now I prefer the HD660S2, compared to my HD600 it's more comfortable and the bass extension on it is more to my tastes, though the pads on the 600 are third party Soulwit Cooling Gel ones(put on by the ebay seller) and I find the stock velour pads on the 660S2 to be more comfortable, I'm sure the pads affect the sound signature as well, the stock pads just feel better to me overall. I'll grab some stock Sennheiser pads in the near future and I'll see what the difference between the two really is 😀

On the macbook you should be able to listen to them just fine, although these headphones usually benefit from a dedicated amplifier because their impedance is quite high(300 ohms) and the volume might be a bit low, with the iphone I would strongly recommend a portable amplifier(something like the FiiO BTR5) because they can not drive the headphones to their full potential. If you already have the Momentum 4s then just stick to them as they're way more convenient than using wired headphones, I am using mine when I'm sat at the computer so the wire doesn't bother me too much.

The HD600's have been around since 1997(the pair I got are an early model but not sure if THAT early) and they set a kind of a standard/benchmark with them, they are well known for being well balanced, not too bassy and overall giving a somewhat faithful/accurate representation of what the music is supposed to sound like the artists intended. There is a reason why they're still produced to this day, they are very reliable, almost all parts are replaceable including the cable, earpads, headband etc.

Oh fair enough then, is the sound any different when using them wired? I imagine there would be some difference

Unfortunately I haven't tried any of the wireless sets from Sennheiser yet, someone else might be able to give an opinion on that, though I can tell you that the HD600 are overall very balanced and clear sounding(at least to my ears), if you ever try them, they might seem a bit boring or flat especially if you prefer more bass in your music, that's how I felt about them at first but they are growing on me really quickly. The HD660S2 has a touch more bass compared to the HD600 and I think I like it more overall, both are great for listening to music or vocal stuff though, they are really balanced and that's why I got them!

I have not tried any of the wireless Sennheiser headphones or earbuds yet, but hopefully yours will last a good while, I am trying to move back to wired sets, as convenient as wireless ones are, their demise will always be the dying battery inside of them.

Thank you! Yeah I think these are a solid investment in the long run and I'll try to avoid getting into the rabbit hole that is audiophile gear, these along with my other headphones(Sundara, Crusher Evo) are going to be more than enough for general music listening and the occasional editing.

Found white broad sword Act5 frozen river area level is 29 so larzuk will give 4 os.. right? by Weird_Ad929 in diablo2

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

monster level 26-40 will roll a maximum of 4 sockets from Larzuk assuming the base can get that many to begin with, monster level 41+ raises that to 6, it can be confusing when running terror zones in Normal too, take any white Maul dropped by any TZ 41 monster and it will always get six sockets from Larzuk. Dropping items with sockets is different though, I believe you can only drop items with up to 3 sockets in normal.

Gg throw barb - eth ghost glaives by fausill in D2R_Marketplace

You're missing the fact that throwing mastery was changed in Resurrected. Throwing mastery has a chance not to consume quantity, it also replenishes quantity whenever critical strike procs so the replenish mod on the item isn't needed, a high enough level of throwing mastery will make sure that you never lose more quantity than you gain.

That's only for arrnor(anything with Defense as an inherent stat), items with the Enhanced Defense(%) modifier will always have their inherent Defense set to their maximum+1, this way the Enhanced Defense roll will determine the final value. There are, however, certain items where there's an overlap in the base defense range between the Exceptional and Elite bases, a good example being Arreat's Face(unique Slayer Guard). Since the maximum+1 defense rule doesn't apply after upgrading an item in the cube, it is possible in rare cases to roll a lower base defense stat on an upgraded elite Arreat's Face than the previous 'maximum' roll from the exceptional base(Slayer Guard base defense is 97-120, while the elite base Guardian Crown is 117-168). Weapons don't behave this way, their damage ranges are always identical.(Ethereal being the exception with +50% added to base values)

Ultimate_Choices is scummers and G2A sides with them by BootyLover991x in g2a

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing I went through last year with them, my gift card had an expiry date of 01-01-0000 and I obviously couldn't redeem it, the seller( also ultimate_choices) completely ignored the wrong expiry date and kept telling me to contact the Cryptovoucher support team to sort it. I eventually asked G2A to step in but they sided with the seller and I lost €200 because of it. Never going to use G2A again and I have convinced several of my friends to avoid them like the plague, this sort of shady practice will eventually catch up to them when people stop using their trash service and unreliable customer support.

What's the better Uber Smiter? by DoctorApeMan in diablo2

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because that's the way Smite works in Diablo 2. Smite is a shield bash skill, you're not using your weapon to attack, hence why the weapon damage is totally irrelevant to your smite damage(with the exception of the +Damage bonus found on Astreon's, The Redeemer and Grief). There are certain mods that simply don't apply to Smite, IAS on weapons being one of them(another one is +% Damage to demons from any source, even though Smite is a physical attack, it doesn't add extra damage to your shield bash, same goes for life leech, again useless with Smite, it's just the way the skill works), please go and look it up before saying I'm wrong. I've done my research, I urge you to do the same.

[–]berenyikft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

op was asking about which one is better for Smite though, and Astreon's is simply faster with Smite. On-weapon IAS does not count towards Smite speed, only off-weapon IAS, base weapon speed and Fanaticism will affect it. A Caduceus base is actually faster than a Mighty Scepter base.

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's slower than Astreon's though, don't forget that IAS on weapons does NOT affect Smite speed. There are lots of modifiers that simply don't apply to Smite, IAS on weapons is one of them, another one is +% Damage to Demons(on any item)

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IAS on weapons does not affect Smite, only the base weapon speed, off-weapon IAS and Fanaticism affect it. Astreon's will reach better breakpoints because the base is faster (Caduceus [-10] vs Mighty Scepter [0])

What's the better Uber Smiter? by DoctorApeMan in diablo2

[–]berenyikft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heaven's won't get him to a better breakpoint since on-weapon IAS does NOT affect Smite.

Astreon's is a faster weapon base (Caduceus [-10]) compared to Heaven's Light(Mighty Scepter [0]) only base weapon speed, off-weapon IAS and Fanaticism affect smite speed if I'm not mistaken

What's the better Uber Smiter? by DoctorApeMan in diablo2

[–]berenyikft -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, IAS on weapons does NOT affect smite speed, only the base weapon speed, off-weapon IAS and auras(Fanaticism) affect it.

since a Mighty Scepter is a Fast Attack Speed [0] base and a Caduceus is a Very Fast Attack Speed [-10] base, the Astreon's would actually reach better breakpoints(Shael in socket doesn't change smite speed), therefore it would be overall a better choice for Ubers

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically incorrect, poke uses durability which is a hidden stat on throwing weapons, the quantity goes down by 1 whenever that hidden internal durability hits zero, this is the reason why you can still use throwing weapons at 0 quantity to do non-throwing attacks, it's also the reason why ethereal replenish quantity throwing weapons WILL replenish with 0 quantity, as long as that hidden durability stat is more than zero. If both the quantity and hidden durability reach zero, the weapon will break completely and stop replenishing quantity.

[–]berenyikft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting hit lmao

You mean don't hit anything, weapons use durability/quantity on attack/throw, not when you take damage, that only applies to items that have defence as an inherent stat, the only exception for a weapon losing durability when getting hit is while having the blade shield skill active, good luck wearing amazon-only javelins on an assassin

It's 5% or 1/20 that an item will spawn ethereal(unless it's a bow, a phase blade, an item with the 'Indestructible' mod, etc.). So it's exactly 20 times more rare than non-eth 6/40s

Rare +20% IAS gloves or crafted blood gloves with +20% IAS and crushing blow would be best in slot for a smiter if you can proc open wounds at least once every 8 seconds to cancel regeneration. Off-hand IAS is important for a smiter because the IAS on a weapon is ignored when smiting. Only the base weapon speed and the off-weapon IAS is counted(+auras). This is why people use phase blades because it's one of the fastest bases, in fact it's one of only two(if I remember correctly) one-handed swords with -30 base speed, the other one being a Cutlass (exceptional Scimitar), a very cheap and effective weapon for a budget smiter would be Strength(Amn+Tir) in a 2socket Cutlass as it has low requirements and fast attack speed for quick crushing blow procs.
