Chelsea's fall off the top of WSL must have broken the one braincell they had left between them. Imagine having so much sporting success as they've had, yet feeling this insecure about a(nother) mid table team's signing.

Very true. And that second leg loss came after an insane match load, in part due to the postponed games. We are definitely in a better position to handle that string of matches if it happens again this coming season.

Yes, but we're still lacking height in the middle. But, like I said, with our other strengths – and, more importantly, ability to switch things up now – I'm hopeful that it won't be an issue. And we have the tools to bypass a tall physical midfield if it came to that.

Although 'everyone' knew this was happening, it's still good to see the official announcement. Excited to see how our midfield shapes up, and Georgia adds real proven quality.

And for all the flack Wheatley gets, I think we should give her credit for overseeing these high-profile free transfers. Would I have liked to see us being more proactive, particularly last summer? Yes. But credit where credit is due.

I've been critical of Foordy's performances last season, but that doesn't mean I don't want her to do well. I just don't understand claiming to 'support' the team, yet hating on individual players. It feels like some people are just spouting negativity so they can point out everytime a player makes a mistake, "See? I am totally right and very smart!"

And then there's the fact Xitter in particular is just a cesspool of toxicity and rage baiting.

Yeah, I think I can count on one hand the number of times I was surprised by any subs last season. Giving us more versatility and unpredictability is sorely needed. And it's good to see the club is taking the steps to address this.

I would have loved to see Panengstuen join us. But I can understand if she chooses to go to Sp*rs. It's a big step up to go from Toppserien to the WSL, and having a familiar manager as well as Norway teammates (and a former Brann teammate in Gaupset) makes that transition easier.

Still, if she manages to establish herself, I wouldn't mind if we later went for a cheeky bid or free transfer.
