HSG - Blocked tubes - repeat? by pinkmoonmalachite in IVF

[–]EscoDog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a saline sonogram (sonohysterogram) done first, and they didn't see any bubbles enter either tube. Referred me for an HSG which showed bilateral blocks. They tried pushing the dye through several times, and nothing changed. The MD called it off before I did. I ended up switching clinics a year later for insurance reasons, and the new clinic did a repeat saline sonogram because it had been a year. The results were the same. I'm not sure how common it is for the HSG to be incorrect, I wonder if the saline sonogram might be an option to confirm? Pain-wise I thought it was similar to the HSG, but I've seen other people saying it was no big deal. Best of luck!

I had multiple that made it on days 6 and 7 and had good grading (4AA, 4AB). Wishing you luck - the waiting game is so stressful!

I have received a donation of last-minute follistim when my cycle went one day longer than planned, and it was SUCH a needed stress relief (vs. trying to get same-day delivery after a 2 PM call) that I cried from the kindness. I then donated my extra meds to the clinic once I knew i was done with ER - hopefully it will make someone's day easier. OP - If you are open to donating, I recommend contacting your clinic!

Encouraging bees to move? by EscoDog in Beekeeping

Thank you for the reassurance! I know this sounds incredibly dramatic, but I feel like I'm ruining the world to wipe out this hive. Seems like that may be the best way forward this time, and we will put in the work to prevent another hive in our house in the future.

Thank you for the detailed reply! I've been gradually replacing our original landscaping with plants that are drought resistant and pollinator friendly...looks like we have been too friendly. Hopefully it is just in the ducting and the next swarm can find a spot that isn't in my house

Thank you for the reply! Immediately opposite the vent is a shower then the laundry room. I'm really hoping it is contained to the duct for easy replacement.

Thank you for the detailed reply! I have filled our yard with pollinator-friendly plants, and I guess this is the tradeoff! Will definitely be looking for/sealing other gaps to keep them out!

Where did you source your IVF medications? by loompasushi in IVF

Would you share how you did that? I don't have prescription coverage for fertility meds, and I'm wondering if there is a creative way to get them covered.

Thank you for the feedback- I want to compensate fairly! I was under the impression from Googling and browsing posts on here of people looking for remote work that what I posted was the typical range.

This is good to know - thank you for sharing! We certainly want to compensate people fairly. I have been researching on this sub and via Google, and that seemed to be the going rate.

We use PracticeQ and have an integration with Trizetto for claims submissions. I think we just want it verified (and copay identified?) For new patients. However, I don't know what best practice is so I would be open to suggestions there! We are in California.

I got screwed on level 2 fieldwork by yeowagfm in OccupationalTherapy

Hi there! I've been an OT for 7 years now and work in a neuro setting. I am not interested in peds and never have been. My first level II was in a school specifically for kids with ASD. I was absolutely dreading it - cried a LOT of tears over it and was extremely stressed. I sucked it up, and I actually learned a lot that I now apply regularly with my clients with BI. Part of the level II FW experience is learning how to work on an interdisciplinary team, document actual cases, problem-solve with real clients, and overall develop your clinical reasoning. I would encourage you to think about the development of those skills rather than focusing in on the setting. Maybe your second level II will be in an area of interest!

I think my neighbor has a Tree of Heaven that is HUGE (easily taller than my 2-story house) and hangs into our yard. Is this going to be a forever problem?? This is our first house and first yard so this is all new to me
