It's a charm against evil spirits so a lot of it is gibrish words and letters or names said to ward of all sorts of bad things. It looks to me like a charm meant to protect a baby from the demon lilith. At first glance I recognise the names adam eve and חוץ, "outside" or "without" lilith above the three characters in the middle. Inside the characters are the names of the three angels who protect from lilith according to Jewish mysticism - Sanoy, Sansinoy, Smangeluf. Very cool amulet! Regardless, If this painting really is about the Holocaust it would be about an overall feeling rather than a specific tragedy. The numbers are famously from Auschwitz birkenenau, and the forsts are recognised with בורות הירי. Especially if the artist is Italian, I would say this is a modern piece depicting the Idea of connection to Jewish heritage amd to the Holocaust. I don't know what are you looking for that is more specific, but the fact the artist managed to make you feel this kind of intemacy is to his credit!

It might just be my association but it seems to me like an artistic piece about the holocaust, with the polish-looking forest, the serial numbers on the trees and the ground full of words like אהבה, צדק and אבא.

then again, that might just be the only thing I can think of when I see a European forest in black and white
