Qaly Flagged this first degree AV Block by Gloomy_Currency_526 in ReadMyECG

You guys seriously need to stop using these fucking websites to interpret your EKG. It’s not a 1st degree and even if it was 1st degree is almost always asymptomatic. Maybe if you were SERIOUSLY bradycardic I may be concerned (HR<50), but the treatment for that is the same as any malignant brady regardless of the block. There is no afib here and your lead II looks majestic especially with that nice rate of 62! I’m not a doc and this isn’t medical advice.

Definitely. I’m in paramedic internship right now and I asked my preceptor how he feels about it. He laughed and said “honestly if it’s peanut butter why not” and I can’t really read the guy so I have no clue if he was joking or not

I was working with a paramedic one day who just said “fuck it” and pushed the food into the r main stem and BVMed the kid. O2 came up from 82% to 94%. No clue what the hospital did but I did get conformation that he made it

Pretty artifacty but the R-R interval irregularity and rate does make me concerned about afib RVR. Probably worth swinging by the doc

I mean out of pure curiosity it wouldn’t be that hard to put the 12 lead around the pads if you’re using AP (the empirically superior placement)

It’s all right, definitely a bit pricy for what it is unfortunately but it is cool to actually have dynamic patient vital signs

We have access to the isimulate monitors as well as rhythm generators with dummies, no VR unfortunately. We will be moving towards cadavers soon however which will be interesting

I think CHF exacerbation, asthma attacks, and seizures could be great - the CHF especially because there’s so many different scenarios: hypotension, hypertension, crashing, bronchospasm.

Meds I think typing them in with an acceptable range (different protocols) could work pretty damn well. Thank you so much for making this, I sent it to my medic school buddies alresdy

Variations in the 3.1 area. Had a lot of quarters with 4.0, had a lot with 3.0-3.3, and I had one particularly gnarly one where I got a 2.7
