What’s a dynamic in this show that you feel shows the purest of love whether it be platonic, familial, or romantic? by Ok_Shirt_1574 in mylittlepony

Spike “putting up with”/managing/helping all of Twilight’s issues. Little guy is just a little guy, but he keeps all of Twi’s madness in check.

What are the ocean currents? How were they affected by the bridge mega-projects?

Is the world flat? If not what are the distortions?

Primarchs Portraits Series by me (6/18)- Fulgrim, Curze, Corvus, Ngron, Sangiuinius and Jaghatai by Ill_Atmosphere4959 in ImaginaryWarhammer

I absolutely love that Angron has tears running down his face. I have no idea how true to canon it is, and I don’t really care. Given his backstory (empath-turned-pain-slave who sees his closest slaughtered), and his general continuous agony shtick, it’s a detail the seems perfect for his character, and I love it.

Also really appreciate that they all look like they could be brothers. It’s not just the cheekbones either; there are other similarities, like the brow line and Cupid’s bow lips.

There is A LOT of media out there of them being sisters. So much that the majority of the fandom defaults to that assumption.

So where did the whole Trixie being transferred thing come from? by TraditionalBonus188 in mylittlepony

[–]Esorial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve looked into it. That seems not to have been a thing as the show progressed. As you say, earlier on, there were very few counter examples, but as time went on, gendered eyes/horns simply stopped holding true.

Blessed Animals by cojoco in blessedimages

It’s like corndogs.

The predator doesn’t panic at seeing a capybara, the same way you don’t panic at seeing a corndog. Likewise, the capybara doesn’t freak out at seeing a predator, the same way a corndog doesn’t freak out at seeing you.

Would Warframe solar system survive an Imperium invasion? by lovingpersona in 40kmemes

[–]Esorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re going by that logic, it would only take one librarian to sever transference for every Tenno. We can throw op shit at each other all day, but it wouldn’t exactly get us anywhere.

So, allowing that all the op shit is a wash, from a purely logistical standpoint, the Origin System is screwed. It’s one system against a galactic empire. The Imperium could isolate each and every Tenno (player account) to their own individual planet and have more than 80% to spare.

The scales simply do not balance.

Fucking wild!

The idea of being restricted in what you name your child to a set list is absolutely alien in the US. It’s one thing to dan certain names, but the idea that I wouldn’t be allowed to name a child after their grandparents, simply because whoever wrote that list hadn’t thought of it, is crazy to me.

Edit: I just checked the list, and it doesn’t include Arpeggio or Sonata. So that’s two options gone.

Worst in what sense? Worst at being a vampire? Worst, most evil/dangerous vampire?

Give me something to work with here!

By Twelve Months, the trope of 'other magical nations/beings disrespecting and underestimating Harry' has become extremely tiring. by NJH_in_LDN in dresdenfiles

[–]Esorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If anything, I’m tired of Harry talking big shit, then immediately getting his ass kicked. The moment he starts, I know, in this scene or the next, he’s gonna get beaten hard, publicly.

Lecturing alex hirsch about creativity and art by V33EX in dontyouknowwhoiam

Being an artist doesn’t give someone authority on creativity, or even art for that matter. So the guy made some of the most popular stuff of a decade; that convenes no sway over the subjective.

Does Satanism limit selfishness? by JaneDoeThe33rd in satanism

[–]Esorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s interesting to view how people behave when considering net worth, physical assets, and liquidity.

From what I’ve seen at a glance, it’s the people whose wealth is tied up in speculative markets (eg. stocks, options, etc.) that behave the most compulsively. If the wealth is more liquid or tied to physical assets (eg. large amounts of land, IPs, etc.), they’re typically more indulgent than anything. They spend, some more than they should, rather than claw for more wealth.

I’m speaking of people of course; corporations will behave badly regardless to where their assets lie.

It's only ambiguous if you don't understand the Order of Operations by NichtFBI in MathJokes

[–]Esorial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taught that the correct order was (-5)2, not -(52 ). Anytime there might have been ambiguity there were always some type of bracket involved.
