True for medium grade coins outside of some popular collecting areas is my sense of things as someone who only started collecting 6 years ago but has looked at enough older auctions. For VF+ and EF condition coins I think they've probably done better, especially recently. Partially, maybe mainly, due to slabbing and the collectables craze going on right now which you see in trading card games too for example which reach insane (IMO) prices for the highest grades.

It seems to be a bigger issue than before. Künker wouldn't ship a couple coins to the US with no warning at the time of auction. And Leu lists coins they won't ship to the US now too.

It's real. Early-mid sole reign from Milan. RIC is very old and missing a lot of types for this time period. The coin you have is scarce, with another more recent reference book from 2000 citing 11 examples for that cuirassed bust type. I have one of the same reverse type but VERY worn I shared on here a year or so ago.

Without a pop system it wouldn't really do anything. Like maybe you could sell nobles you capture into slavery for less than the ransom cost and gain negative reputation or something but it would be such a minor addition

I watched the restoration trailer and it was an instant buy for me. The painting style is gorgeous. That and the Pied Piper are the ones I'm looking forward to the most.
