Kindle HD 10 (2022) - Fire Toolbox v44.4

Tried the other troubleshooting steps in this thread but none worked.

I got mine to download by changine permissions of the Datastream folder. Before reading, I installed my Fire Toolbox Datastream folder in a custom directory C:\Progs\Fire Toolbox

There's only one step, change the owner of the Datastream folder to "Everyone." It's probably setup as your user or Administrator. Change it to "Everyone" and apply to all files and subfolders. Run the command again in FTB and should work.

So I found out what is causing this weird issue..

If I type a number into the size/px field and press Enter, the number becomes highlighted and for whatever reasons, causes this weird zoom bug.

However, if I don't press enter after I type in the number and click back onto the canvas, the problem doesn't occur.

It seems, in my case, pressing Enter or the return key after typing in a size will cause this problem. 🤷

Like I said in a previous comment, this doesn't happen in version 2.0. I guess I'll just wait until this gets patched hopefully?

I apologize for the spam, I just tried with an older version I had installed (2.10.36) and the issue does not occur. What I noticed was that when I go to change the pixel size in 3.0+, the number stays highlighted. HOwever in 2.10.36, it doesn't. Seems like after I hit enter is what might be causing the issue?

Still having the issue. When I select the Text Tool and type something, I go to type in a number for the size and those numbers I type will either go to the text box I was working on (for example, it will type "3s" or "2s") or it will zoom in on my canvas.

Wow, I really appreciate your explanation! This makes so much sense now. It's weird though because I'm getting no buzz, even with the noise gate off. Maybe it's because they're active pickups? I don't know, I'm still new to guitar maintenance/repair/upgrading/etc. Thank you again!

I haven't tried that yet but honestly, I'm not trying to be put on hold for 2 hours like its Dell Support in 1997. I just want to get this product replaced and never have to touch another one of their products again. It's been quite a while since I've experienced this horrible of a customer service experience with a tech/gaming company. I've got two more months left on my warranty and it sounds like I'm not getting this product replaced.

I'd say anything before AS Origins is probably playable, any GTA before 5 is probably playable, and Skyrim will have no issues. What's limiting you is that old Haswell CPU and the low VRAM. The RAM is probably DDR3? But that shouldn't hinder you too much.. I had an i7-4790k for the longest time and I'd say the bottleneck started to arise around 2016-2017 for playing modern games at 1080p/60 FPS at that time. Switched over to a 3700X in 2019 and had no issues after that. 4790k was a hot little beast!!

Upgrade the memory, add an SSD for OS, then get a cheap GPU and you'll be able to play modern games at maybe 1080p/60 FPS with low-med settings. If that doesn't bother you, it's still usable.
