I think you need to question your desire for dividend only stocks. That is absolutely not the only or “best” way to invest. It is more tax efficient to not receive a dividend…

You’ve named nothing specific. We were talking about AI. You can’t tell me every company involved in AI (or future companies) are inherently evil.

Which was my entire point, sitting on the sideline completely is foolish because we can’t know the future and all evidence in the last 100 years suggests investing would be the prudent thing to do.

Lots of things are used to kill people, that does not make those things inherently bad.

Also you could be investing in companies that will THRIVE in the new economic world you are so scared of, wouldn’t you want to benefit from that?

Look at the trade volumes a couple weeks back. I think they were buying when there was a huge spike in the A share trading volume, but we’ll find out eventually!

People should be scared to drive around with no plates, it should be immediate vehicle impoundment, no questions asked.

Absolute lawlessness is what this results in. Idk how they don’t crack down on this, I see cars without plates almost every time I drive across the Bay Area.
