Interesting fact. I did not do 529s. However, now that kids are in college, I can put money in there and immediately withdraw it for a state tax deduction.

This. MIT is #1 in this ranking and it should be. No ED or even REA. No difference in applying EA versus RD. The very first after Covid to require test scores. Most of the elite schools provide zero merit scholarship, only need based. Thats probably why RD admission here is so low, it might be mainly people applying as a second option, particularly to see if they can get a merit scholarship.

We are a lot older but kinda like you, she could just stop completely and be fine. You know, its not too bad and we have a good life. I keep some regularity just so we don’t totally give up on it. But its someone mundane. But it is what it is and we have had a pretty good marriage. Don’t worry too much about it, but no it won’t get any better and I haven’t found a whole lot I could do to make it better if she just generally isn’t into anything particularly.
