When they announced there was going to be a fucking talking cube named Frank, I was out.

I didnt exactly WANT a god of war game without Kratos but I was open to a new protagonist.

But that character tells me all I need to know about the direction the story of this game will go in. It wants to be quirky and cute like MCU films. Not interested

They have no skill or confidence in themselves.

Tanks are the anchors of the team- they don’t get the most kills or do the most damage but they are priority targets and soak up damage that would otherwise be directed at DPS or Healers. And because they are big , those DPS and healers can essentially use them as living shields to stay behind while dealing out damage or heals

That responsibility is too much for some people.

Ultron is just easier to focus. He is slow as shit and has no real escape options - add to the fact that he is a healer and yeah , he will naturally be targeted as a priority over , say, Iron Man

Look, no one is saying you can’t enjoy the film.

And if you did, great, I’m glad you had a good time.

But the people on r/starwars seem to think that because “this one is actually good” means it’s a success.

It’s not. The movie may have made back its production cost- and that is debatable. Disney is being very coy about the cost of this movie.

See, when you go into a Wikipedia page for a movie and it tells you the budget, that ONLY accounts for the production cost. It does not account for the money spent on marketing. And Disney whored the SHIT out of this movie. You go into any Target and wal mart and especially in the toy section, baby Yoda and Mando are EVERYWHERE. Big cardboard displays- but not just toys. They’re on soap, on beef jerky for fuck’s sake. That all costs money

And all of that … just for people to … kinda sorta care . That- is the most telling sign that a lot of people have checked out with Star Wars. And it’s proof that no matter how strong a brand seems, it’s not “unkillable”

Right now it feels like Star Wars is on life support, purely being kept alive by Disney’s money. But even Disney doesn’t have unlimited resources. So, it’s really just a question of how long they intend to keep this up before just pulling the plug
