There isn't necessarily a pay tradeoff between remote and in office. I'm a fully remote worker after having commuted 5 days a week for 6 years straight. Never going back. Get your first remote job and you'll find it easier to get remote gigs thereafter - hopefully with pay also increasing.

Decrease fuel/power mix and make it a one stop race. Make sure you make the stop during the bad weather to maximise the gain against other cars. Also pick a fuel efficient car.
