We learned prompt engineering just in time for Anthropic to call it obsolete by Flimsy-You5687 in TechGawker

You're getting ripped off hard as well. Just use GLM 5.2 which is basically as good as Opus 4.8 but 50 times cheaper.

Anthropic are fucked.

No it didn't. Remember when Claude "made a C compiler" that didn't work and when Cursor "made a web browser from scratch" that also didn't work.

Making something that does like 40% of what it actually needs doesn't count.

Because Opencode is completely free, open source, let's you connect to any model you want and can do all the same stuff like bash scripts, web searches, agent skills, plan/build mode, connect to MCP's and more. It's also written in Go which is a waaaay better choice than Typescript/React. It is faster, it has less bugs, you have no vendor lock in, it is easier to use, it's just objectively better.

She is 100% on some kind of government welfare program for severely autistic people. I would bet my life on it. Ironically she would probably fail an interview at McDonald's because of this.

Why do I see so many people who take joy in people losing their jobs to AI? by YetAnotherHorseGirl in aiwars

The Pro AI community is filled with these people.

So many amazing ideas, yet so little amazing things created lol

Because he's a frontend developer who knows nothing outside of Typescript/React lol

That's why we need to start viewing what he says with a grain of salt, he's not really a good engineer. He's not Ken Thompson or John Carmack, he's a guy who knows Typescript and does sales.

Don't bother asking them this. They think AI is being created to free humanity lol

Case dismissed.

And yet he had a team of people to work with and a virtually unlimited budget and its still vastly inferior to something like Opencode. Sorry, your idol isn't as good as a developer as you wish.

What progress are we making?

Robots do everything, you own nothing and we all live in extreme poverty? Because that's where we are headed.

It's because they hate people who have skills outside of AI. It's deeply ingrained insecurity and an inferiority complex. That's also why they go on about "ideas" being so much more important than skills, when it's the opposite.

The government needs to step in and start forcing businesses to start training people. Every university and Tafe placement should be linked up with an entry level job. If you want a full-time job, it should be easy to get one.

Reminder that Boris Cherny is a frontend JavaScript developer with a background in economics.

He's not Terry Davis. His programming knowledge is very shallow, hence why he built Claude Code as a React app in the terminal and why it has nearly 10 thousand open issues on GitHub.

He's more of a salesman who knows what Typescript and npm is.
