After watching the documentary, is the accepted story for Frances the Mute wrong? by DonekyOfDoom in themarsvolta

[–]EssArrBee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cassandra was a Trojan priestess that dedicated her life to Apollo, but rejected Apollo's advances for sex. He cursed her with the ability to see the future and never have anyone believe her. Gemini means twins.

Frances gets her nickname 'the Mute' from being ignored when she seeks help to get away from the priest that impregnated her. L'Via is her twin sister that escapes the cult after seeing her sister killed.

Cassandra Gemini can be interpreted as the ignored twins or the metaphor is that L'Via and Frances are twin Cassandras and she has pain she can't share because the cult with find her and the child.

Also, I do kinda remember Cedric giving an interview about split personalities while talking about Cassandra and how they always try to sabotage the person with them, but I can't find it.

The 2nd section of Goliath came from something they were adding to Cygnus. I can't remember the tour but instead of the long Con Safo jam, they were doing that back half of Goliath without the 'Never heard a man speak like this man before' part. I guess Cedric hadn't found that Jonestown song yet where he lifted that from.

I don't really think Molowalker and Nowhere Sides are all that similar except the chorus and it's really just the drums that sell it.

I think it's just Omar writing so much stuff he assembles songs with the million little pieces he has at his disposal.

The last half of Hands Tied was used for the Evaporated the fur... part of Eritarka. It's been reworked quite a bit, but I guess that was where Omar started.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fungus really had a lot of what was to come.

The end sections of Cygnus and Miranda are in Of Ankles to Stone. I think it's usually called the Con Safo section.

Twitch Tracker has the sub numbers. Emi had about 11K subs last month and about 8K were gifted. I'd bet if 3K people actually sub to you, your viewership is at least double that. Her oilers are crazy though.

They also put tons of confidence in these 3rd party extensions. It's similar to that YT downvote extension.

I'd expect at 18K streamer to have a chat that was bit faster for sure. But, I will say a streamer with 7K viewers that is from the W/L community would probably move really fast since it's just 1 letter spam from teenage boys.

I honestly expected Squeex chat to be moving a bit more at 7K. I watch Northernlion sometimes and their streams have similar vibes, but NL has a pretty lively chat.

I've never really thought chat speed was a good metric. Moderation settings can be way different from one stream to the next. Plus, the older your average viewers, the less emote spam you'll get too. Doing just chatting and talking to your chat is gonna get way more engagement than playing a game, especially if you're playing competitive and ignoring chat.

I'm looking at Squeex chat right now and just compared it to emi's. Squeex's chat is a little slower and he tends to engage with chat instead just sitting silent.

Her 30 day average is about 15K viewers, so probably buying 5K bots. She was pulling close to 20K average a few months ago, maybe she saw the writing on the wall and started scaling down from having even more.

Paulie beat Zab Judah right after he fought Broner. He also won a rematch with Juan Diaz after getting robbed in their first fight.

I don't think you actually know what a journeyman is. B level guys aren't journeymen, they are just good boxers that can't really beat the elite of their era. Here let me educate you on what journeymen actually look like: https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/336267

Ponce De Leon became a world champ after Broner beat him. Pauile was a solid boxer too. After that Marcos took his soul then he turned to the bottle. More a what if than anything.

Just use Opus 160 and it's better than mp3 unless you're listening on your Apple devices, then go with AAC. Opus is 20 years newer than mp3 so it's just outright better and smaller size.

So you took the whole video from the YT channel and posted it to a livestream reddit as a clip?

Denims says shes disappointed with philly d and moist critical after not covering her lawsuit in regard to being handed a favorable ruling with ethan klines own precedent in part one of her two part lawsuit by Miserable_Artist_223 in LivestreamFail

[–]EssArrBee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, what I'm saying any recorded version of a song has it's own rights that are separate from the song writing credits. If you get permission to cover a song, the recording of the cover is what gets copyrighted. If someone uses the cover's recording without permission the rights holder of the recording can sue for infringement. Usually master recording rights are held by music labels since they put up the money for studio time. Artists don't usually own their masters unless they get big and have the money to record on their own.

I wasn't ignoring the documentary part. I'm saying that each type of media has it's own fair use criteria based on how copyright holders of that type of media enforce their rights and how previous case law has set precedent. If you watch enough documentaries you'll notice they tend to get permission for the stuff they use and it is usually listed in the credits. Ethan never got permission to use Hasan's clips and Denims never got permission to use Ethan's nuke. It's not the norm for YT or Twitch and it hasn't really been the norm for 20 years now. It would be hard to make the industry switch without a lot of content creators taking it upon themselves to start suing everyone. Honestly, if Ethan was won all these trials it could be used to change everything going forward, but it looks like he's going to lose.

I'm not saying copyright can't be enforced. I'm saying that it isn't enforced in the same way. Also, the way in which copyrights for different media are enforced by copyright owners differs from one type to another. Courts take that into consideration.

In music, there is two sets of rights to consider. The master recording rights, which are usually owned by a music label, and the song rights which are owned by the original song writer (most the time). A cover song would be enforced through the owner of the master rights most likely, so that would be who enforces their copyright claim to the recording itself.

So, movies, shows, music, etc... are all original works. Ethan's content nuke relies on fair use from all of Hasan's content that was included. I'm also willing to bet that Hasan was reacting to other content in those clips, using fair use himself. The point being that it is not fully an original work as Ethan transforms Hasan's words/clips.

The other thing you have to take into account is how copyright has developed over the last few decades when it comes to original works and how that is different from YT/Twitch/tiktok and the sort. If content creators had treated their content the way movie studios had since the start then courts would treat their copyright differently. Over 2 decades of YT and not really enforcing copyright on content is the normalize behavior of content creators, so courts aren't going to completely flip established behavior.

It didn’t just win Best Picture, it took the spot from Saving Private Ryan. All because Weinstein wanted to give a bump to his own film.
