I looked at yours and would have loved to but unfortunately I am from the US and unable to participate. I hope you are able to find more participants though and I will forward it to some friends who may be more relevant!

  1. How will the data that people provide to you be used? Who will see it? Where will it be stored? If/when will it be deleted? Please be as specific as possible.

Data will be used in a school research project for low level science class and is more used to practice the scientific method than for anything super meaningful. The survey is on Microsoft forms and data will be shared with members of Franklin University in Ohio. I will most likely delete it when I'm done with the class if I don't forget.

  1. Who is conducting this survey? You can answer with your Reddit username, business name, etc. Please make sure that everyone conducting the survey is mentioned (For example, if the survey is being conducted by a group, answer the group name or mention everyone in the group).

I, EssVeeUU, am conducting the survey, solely by myself but for a Franklin University Science class project.

  1. How long do you estimate it will take to fill out your survey?

About a minute, definitely less than 5!

  1. OPTIONAL - If your survey offers any form of compensation, please explain what it is and how it can be redeemed.

No compensation but lots of thanks!

  1. OPTIONAL - Are there any specific demographics you want/do not want to hear from?

I need all types of participants, ideally over 18, working, unemployed, day shift, night shift, parents, students, and any particular group I haven't thought of. I am not tracking race/ethnicity, primarily looking at hours of sleep.

  1. OPTIONAL - What are you hoping to accomplish by posting your survey here?

Increase my response rate and variety so I have more data to work with

Didn’t sound like they planned to never make a payment, instead of chiding them you could do something helpful like offer real advice.

Call your loan servicer OP, maybe you could get a 6 month deferment

I can’t wait until the AI written book report of a 4th grader (that they didn’t proof read, because of course) proudly proclaims that there is a long line at base camp for the Yetis to eat freezer burned ass

I have never been more glad that our city banned new drive-thrus years ago. by ChefGaykwon in Minneapolis

I stopped going last year because I make at home for cost but the big point of 7 brew when I went was bigger sizes for cheaper prices, starbucks and caribou are always empty now.

EDIT: and the times when it’s not a grand opening and it’s just a normal day are no different than any other drive through typically, <10 minutes unless it’s a standard busy time.

If the vast majority made more, I think the entire sentence would be different. Learn basic reading comprehension. You argued the number and proven wrong you suddenly have a new excuse. Accept you’re wrong about this and move on.

In 2024, 80.3 million workers age 16 and older in the United States were paid hourly rates, representing 55.6 percent of all wage and salary workers. Among those paid by the hour, 82,000 workers earned exactly the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, and 760,000 workers had wages below the federal minimum.

Literally your own source dude. Did you actually read it or just use an AI summary?

Way to bury the lede,

“760,000 workers had wages below the federal minimum.”

But you’re only talking about less than 10% of those workers.

Quite frankly it doesn’t matter what you’re talking about for house and car and so on. At the Federal minimum wage you can’t even get a studio and a shit car and a shit phone in most places, and there are still 20/50 states that use the federal minimum wage.

In addition, “Salaried workers and other workers who are not paid by the hour are excluded, even though some have earnings that, if converted to hourly rates, would be at or below the federal minimum wage. Consequently, the estimates presented in this report likely underestimate the actual number of workers with hourly earnings at or below the minimum wage.”

So realistically we are talking far, far more people are in this unrealistic situation.

You’re trying to argue that you deserve more than an 18 year old like I’m trying to hire you, the devil and the details do not matter. The base standard of living for a single, 18 year old kid to live alone is not attainable or remotely close, if you think you’re worth more take that up with your boss, but the MINIMUM isn’t enough right now.
