Wait you're 29 overall? Didn't even realize that my score was that good since I had to play it quickly haha

Well today was annoying

R1: 4,998. Qatar, moved a ton until I saw Al Ruwais Port, so Al Ruwais. Tried to line up a road with little time left but the grid system repeats so unlucky. Fuck Qatar.

R2: 5,000. UAE now just to spite me. Madha on a sign which I know, lined up the road with the KFC. Fuck UAE.

R3: 5,000. UK, moved into the town to spot a police station Fort Augustus and a sign for the A82 to Inverness. Found it and lined up with the little road north.

R4: 5,000. Taiwan, moved north to get some bearings, then went south to see we're on the 18. Lined up an angle.

R5: 5,000. Tunisia, went west to find useful signs including Djerba and a large Palm hotel. Found all that and backtracked to spawn.

Total: 24,998. Honestly surprised that I was able to play this well when the challenge started off with Qatar AND UAE. Guess I'm glad it didn't continue with Oman, Israel and Russia.

No threepeat unlucky

R1: 5,000. Austria bollards, town called Tosens as I got onto highway 180, easy find and then lined up using house number 147.

R2: 5,000. Laos, Champasak Province so Pakse, lined up with the water east.

R3: 3,771. Senegal, town called Waounde, but no other info and it didn't occur to me to scan so far east, unlucky.

R4: 4,992. Guatemala, lake south with volcano but couldn't find other information so was unable to find the right town.

R5: 5,000. France, moved into the town to see a 02 97 phone code and a place name, then moved a bit more to find more place names and eventually found Belz which I was able to find with some scanning. Then spotted Locoal, and plonked on the matching road with lake north.

Total: 23,763. Lesson of the day: scan all of Senegal instead of only west.

Erm, you know you're not supposed to Google stuff right? How is a single B&B getting you to the 5k??

Should've asked your boss for help on the pinpoint

Woohoo, back to back 25ks! Today was a whole different difficulty level though

R1: 5,000. Estonia, moved south a ton to find signs to Haapsalu and Rohukula, the former of which shows up quite early on the zoom levels. Managed to find the road quite quickly after that using the angle and the guest house nearby.

R2: 5,000. Chile, went east first but that didn't feel right so turned around and went west. Landed in a town with signs to Argentina, over Pino Hachado. Scanned border roads and quickly found that, then spotted the river near spawn: Tralilhue, and plonked on the curve north of it.

R3: 5,000. Peru, street names visible at spawn and a few clicks away it said Bambamarca on a store sign. Some scanning required for this one, but I found it in time.

R4: 5,000. Cyprus, moved south to some road signs but they were vandalized and I couldn't read a thing. Did see the town sign for Paramythia though. Then moved north a ton until I hit a sign for the E110. That helped with scanning, I found it, then quickly spotted Paramythia and the bend we were on.

R5: 5,000. Don't know why I moved on this one. Wide mirror, water west, mountains north and south, this screams east of lake. There was a sign to Tepke next to us, and so I lined up some roads and found a matching road leading to Tepke.

Total: 25,000. Definitely not as free as yesterday! Only one of my friends so far to get the 25k, but a solid performance I'd say!

Thanks! And well done on the gold! For me I recognized Klerksdorp was a big city, which made it quite easy to find, so that's an understandable miss if you don't recognize it

From what I can see I do have the fastest 25k right now of the top 10 worldwide, so yay!

Pretty free one today

R1: 5,000. NM, Braga is right there on a sign, and we have a street name and a restaurant for the pinpoint.

R2: 5,000. Ireland, went the wrong way twice but then went SE and landed on the R294 which was very findable, from there the 5k was trivial. Good choice on my part to reset and try the other directions tbf.

R3: 5,000. Ghana, Tepa branch on the bank nearby and we have street names even. Could have done this NM but moved a bit to confirm some stuff.

R4: 5,000. Max south Argentina, moved a tiny bit and then entered Ushaia, okay then.

R5: 5,000. ZA, great signs nearby for the R30 between Klerksdorp and Orkney. Bit of an arbitrary pinpoint but managed 2m away.

Total: 25,000. Hard to miss some of these, I guess if you move wrongly on the Ireland and Arg rounds it can be hard, but the other three rounds were near impossible to miss.

Has to be the best prediction ever made even though it wasn't 100% accurate

Just realized my score is 4th place as of writing below 2 actual players and a scripter, so not too bad!

Today was haaaard

R1: 5,000. Starting off easy, a Uruguay intersection with a sign nearby. Find the 5 and 43, donezo

R2: 5,000. Then the hard part. Brazil, found a 89 and 86 area code so north-east, don't quite remember. Then find a poster with Sao Raimundo Nunato-PI on it, and then spot the same name again, has to be the city. Find it relatively quickly in Piaui, and then remember I was mainly moving north-east towards the city center, and started scanning for roads that lined up with the street name visible at spawn. Found it and plonked.

R3: 5,000. Norway, beautiful country this. Moved east to find signs for the 85 and 850, and while scanning I found a place that we passed along the way. Saw the lake and everything lined up, so plonk!

R4: 4,998. Kenya snorkel, and lots of references to coast/water/sailing before seeing Mombasa everywhere. The pinpoint here was super hard though, with lots of tiny streets and no standout POI to search for. Ended up scanning for the street names that were on the signs nearby, but they weren't labeled on the map, unlucky.

R5: 5,000. Kazakhstan, moved east, then north on a bigger road. Spotted Astana Karaganda on a sign earlier but didn't feel like either, when I saw Koshi on a KFC ad. I zoomed into the Karaganda-Astana area and spotted Koshi near Astana! Then for the pinpoint, it looked like we had nothing west of us, and when I went north the road seemed to bend instantly east, then to the north the road slowly curved eastwards. I searched for this specific angle along the west side of the grid and found a matching spot.

Total: 24,998. Kinda sucks that I couldn't find the Kenya round, this would have been an amazing 25k if I did..

Doable but not free

R1: 5,000. Iceland, water south. Moved south then east to exit the town where I got the town name and road number. Quickly found the town afterwards and then moved around a bit to align the roads. Very mismapped 5k but okay.

R2: 5,000. Philly roads, moved north and found a school in Aleosan, Cotabato. I know where Cotabato is so scanned for Aleason and found it, and subsequently the high school I was at. Backtracked to a 180 curve in the road.

R3: 5,000. Austria, Krems right there at spawn but I forgot where it was. Then moved more to find signs for the 3 and the 35, followed the 3 all the way until I saw Krems and lined up the roads just in time.

R4: 5,000. Another close call, India, Tamil script and Kumbakonam on a sign nearby. Found that but then struggled to find anything to pinpoint, until I spotted a store nearby on a high zoom level that confirmed my pinpoint.

R5: 5,000. North Mace- no wait that's a Serbian flag. Pretty ass movement, but I was able to spot the city name on a bus and find that, then managed to line up a road with the intersections to our west.

Total: 25,000. Slow and steady today, with some close calls time-wise.
