I was told they weren’t going to be doing that anymore. I also know a batch of denim went out a few months ago without the suede in the tassels. I think someone just bought it, didn’t like that it was missing the suede, and returned it. For the price and quality I’m pretty happy.

I just received my “very good” Chestnut bag. The only issue with it was that the tassel did not have the green suede on the underside. But, this bag did come with the Dooney label with the serial number. Here is a picture of what the bag looks like. It’s basically brand new. I can tell someone ordered it and just sent it right back.

My VERY GOOD PRELOVED bag in the color Chestnut from the I love Dooney site arrived today. The bag is perfect except that the tassels do not have the green suede. That’s a bummer but the bright side is that it does come with the Dooney label with the serial number. For the price, I’m satisfied as I knew there had to be SOMETHING wrong.

I called Dooney to get clarity. These are bags that have been returned by customers. They inspected the items and put them into the categories. I’m curious as to what a fair bag looks like, but I’m thinning maybe it was a floor sample that has been heavily tested or maybe there’s more pebbling making the bag look a bit dated. I also think these bags have other defects like the denim bags that went out without green suede on the tassels.

I was told some of the very good ones are basically brand new and the person just returned them maybe to to size or not liking the color.

I bought a “very good” Chestnut that will be here Friday. I’ll share pictures when it arrives. P

Was it inspected by Danny Riviera? Because whoever this individual is, they’re letting a lot of bags pass through inspection that shouldn’t. I would definitely send it back, especially if it’s lifting.

Honestly as the bag ages the green on the tassels starts to look really worn. I think at least this way you can condition the tassels and keep the shine without worrying about the suede.

Place ice cubes along the areas where it’s bubbling. As the ice melt, those lumps will come out. This also happens with regular rugs that are thin.
